Polar FT60

Disappointed with end result – Polar FT60 worked well for two years. Then had batteries change (by Polar UK) now it doesn't work. Sent it back for testing (twice) Each time they said nothing wrong. Spoke to rep on 'phone who recommended making sure strap was moist, etc. Still not working!

Reliable and Robust – Had a polar watch that lasted 5yrs on my wrist 24/7. Current watch is now 6 yrs old. Only time it comes off mu wrist is when the battery dies every 3 years. love that my watch can communicate with many exercise equipments in my gym. I only buy a new watch because I wanted a pretty one. Both polar watches are still alive and kicking...

Very disappointing – My son had a polar watch that he loved and wore daily. Unfortunately before a year was up its screen was unreadable with scratches and the buttons didn't always function properly. I understand that a warranty doesn't cover wear and tear as a terse rude man at polar pointed out but surely a sports watch should have a tough enough screen to withstand everyday use. Will NEVER buy Polar again.

Good but not user friendly – I really like my heart rate monitor but it isn't user friendly. Every now and then the heart rate monitor just stops working and it's user manual isn't very clear. It doesn't tell you about half the features or how to use it properly. however, it is great to see what zone I am working in and feels nice one. Look, easy to read, comfortable Poor user manual, fails to pick up heart rate sometimes

Try another brand – Am getting very fed up with monitor. After using it for a week it started failing to find a heart rate - showing '00' and a message to check the transmitter. or pressing a few buttons and crossing my fingers. Will send it in to be replaced. I regret having bought this brand. Tracks progress over the week. Unreliable.

Battery issue – Just received my new polar heart rate monitor and it wasnt picking up my heart rate. Tried everything then before I rang to complain I changed the battery. This worked and my monitor now works perfectly. I guess that an issue is that tit comes with the battery already in place and so it was possibly trying to connect all the time meaning that the battery was run down

Sick of Polar – This is the second polar hrm bought within 2 years. I have tried the F7 and FT60 and both only lasted 1 year each. After one year it no longer reads my heart rate which is ofcourse is meant to be its function. Now looking for a new brand that doesn't stop working as I am absolutely fed up with Polar. in all types of weather overcoming issues with earlier versions of this model. I have had no trouble establishing a link and have confirmed using other devices that the monitor is very accurate. Best of all it never looses connection so you can be confident that you get an accurate measure for your whole workout. I have found the device works really well for both cycling and running. The heart rate zone display is great and certainly gives you the motivation to ensure you are keeping your heart rate at the desired target level. The only minor complaint I have is that it does not include a stopwatch function which to me would seem to be a logical thing to have with a sports watch. Overall, this is a great watch that looks good, functions really well and will certainly become an indispensable part of your fitness regime in the future. Easy to use, easy to read screen, very accurate ECG monitoring, robust construction No stop watch function, buttons are a bit difficult to push sometimes
