Good little camera - Next model has better features
The Cube is a cute little action cam that has 101 uses - whether it be a dash cam, sports cam or simply to get footage of that memorable moment - it is a fun little camera.
The camera has two definition settings - 720p and 1080p and a microphone is embedded in the camera.
Use is fairly easy with the button being on the top.
Film footage is stored in a micro SD card that slots into the camera - up to max 32Gb.
You can set the cam to over-write footage so it could quite easily be used a dash cam, although it would need to be manually switched on and perhaps a dedicated dash cam would be better for this role.
One of the great features of this camera is that it has a strong magnetic bottom meaning it will stick to any metal surface - it sits nicely on the bonnet or roof of a car although I would be wary about going too fast with it there (haven't tested that yet).
The camera is water resistent and has quite an attractive look being available in several colours.
The cam doesn't come with much - you need to purchase the SD card separately as well as the various mounting options, all of which are sold separately.
The only problems I have with this camera are that it won't do time lapse footage - you can only either take individual photos or movie footage. Also, there is no view finder so getting the picture right is a little hit and miss.
Lastly there is only one way of downloading the footage off the cam and that's via a micro USB cable. This is where the upgraded Cube will be better as it has Bluetooth and you can download via Bluetooth - a feature that will be most welcome.
This isn't the best action cam but it sure does a lot of things. Main thing is it sits nicely on the front of my motorbike!
