Gemini Twin Eco Poolrite Pump – Much better with new one from poolrite just had small leak from bottom fixed which cost $200 with new mechanical seal and impellor after 5 years pool use. Over all great pump with big energy savings and can recommend now.

A theme of faults – I first purchased this pump in Feb 2017. It had a problem there it was unable to maintain pressure and was sucking air. The support team quickly removed the issue and sent me another pump. This pump arrived with a cracked and broken base. Another was sent. Same problem. Another was sent. This lasted until November when the unit had a faulty PCB board. Apparently this was a problem with the unit and there were no pumps in the warehouse to resolve. Forward a week and my pool water was green. A pump was finally delivered and worked until October 2018. The pump is now making a very loud noise and I'm waiting for the warranty team to calle back. They should have my number on speed dial.

This pump replaced an old poolrite SQI pump that worked without problem for 7+ years and was only replaced as it wasn't economical. The cost of chemicals last October to fix the faulty model would have run the pump for another year. Reading all the reviews on this site for the pump and everyone has had a replacement.

2024 update. The metal housing has now corroded. Looks like the fix they performed in 2017/18 was to use a heap of silicone. The silicone has eventually failed and water has slowly been leaking and rusting the thing.

Poolrite Gemini Pool Pump Warranty – Purchased this Poolrite SQ/SQI Gemini Pool Pump . 2 Speed, 7 Star energy efficient. Super Quiet. Remote Control just before Christmas 2015 from Pool & Spa Warehouse online.(Authorised dealer) It was almost half the price of what our regional Qld pool dealer could sell it to us. It has been a great unit until the beginning of March when it just packed it in! 15 months in and it has failed. The old Poolrite pump that it replaced was installed here in 1979! (it died 34 years after installation) They don't make things like they used to!

Warranty has been a complete nightmare......claim put in 7 April and still not heard a thing from Poolrite! Disgusting warranty service! Meanwhile, 40 litres of liquid chlroine later to keep the pool from turning green....still nothing from Poolrite!
