This product is rubbish. 4L does not cover 40m2. At most it’s 20m2, therefore you’ll require twice as much product. Does not protect against stains, only water so not sure what it protects. Photos include areas with two coatings as per instructions supplied. No effort has been made by the supplier to address the issue because there is no fix.

Hi Michael, Just to clarify for anyone reading, this review relates to our Classic sealer, not our PLUS range.

Classic is a general purpose penetrating sealer designed for standard surfaces. For high exposure areas like pool surrounds, we recommend our PLUS range, which is engineered for maximum durability, water resistance and long term protection in harsh environments.

As a guide, coverage is approximately 10m² per litre, however this will vary depending on porosity, texture and application. More absorbent surfaces will use slightly more product, which is why allowing a little extra is recommended to ensure full coverage.

Based on the images, the area appears larger than 40m², which would also impact overall product usage.

All of our sealers are breathable and penetrate into the surface rather than forming a coating, so they protect against staining and moisture without changing the natural look or slip resistance of the paving.

We’ve been working with these surfaces for over 15 years across residential homes, high end landscapes and large scale commercial projects, with a strong track record of results when the correct product and application is used.

If you’re unsure which product is right for your surface, our team is always happy to help.

Just to clarify for anyone interested. This product was applied a day before we had wind and rain, and it still stains. Even dirt on shoes leaves marks if wet. I only managed to get a soaking coat once over 110m2 with 3 x 4L bottles. There is a small area I tested with two coats given I had roughly half a litre left and it still stains. Nothing to do with durability, traffic wear and pool surrounds. This was all tested over 2 days. The longer the water stays on the surface the more it penetrates. The marketing videos uses small amounts of water for very short periods. Buyer Beware, save your hard earned cash for better products. Just clever marketing in my opinion.

Prestige Surfaces sold & applied this product and I won’t be using them again. I had my sandstone pavers (around my pool) sealed by them and a large number of pavers are now looking faded. The last photo shows what one paver looks like (good colour) but the other photos show the faded look that covers many of them.!I contacted the company and they came out and advised me that they don’t know why.

Follow-up  · The only maintenance should be to sweep the leaves off. The sealing didn’t affect the texture or the grip. The fading appeared the next day after the sealing. The guy who applied the sealer came back and advised me, that there is nothing he can do to fix it. The latest photo shows the difference, the tile that has faded, the water does NOT bead anymore. The tile that still has its natural colour, the water is still beading.

Purchased in for $6,050.

Anthony, Thanks for your feedback. This review appears to relate to a service booking, rather than the product listed on this page.

The paving had significant black mould present prior to cleaning, which indicates the sandstone had already been exposed to moisture and environmental conditions for some time before the work was carried out. Cleaning or sealing does not cause sandstone to fade or discolour.

In the photos shown, the variations in colour appear consistent with pre-existing weathering and possible mineral or chemical exposure, which can occur around pool areas where water chemistry or mineral levels are elevated.

Just Seal It sealers are designed to be invisible and breathable, meaning they protect the stone from water absorption, staining and damage while preserving the natural appearance of the paving rather than altering its colour.

As discussed during the visits to your property, the team attended twice to inspect the paving and explain the situation.

As this review relates to a service application rather than the product itself, we will also request that ProductReview move it to the appropriate category.

If you would like further maintenance advice, we’re always happy to help.

There was no black mould around the trough of the pool, shown in the photo with the white dribbles. This photo highlights the effect your product had on the sandstone. Where your product was applied, the paver has lost its colour, where the product just dribbled on, it shows clearly the result!

Poor product. Applied as per manufacturers recommended process in our newly laid concrete pads and kitchen stone bench top. Both terrible results.

Purchased in for $361.

I used this product to seal my newly installed porcelain in order to prevent any stains. After applying the product according to the manufacturer's instructions, I found that it didn’t prevent any stains. When I called customer service, they informed me that this product does not seal the surface against stains; it serves a different purpose. This is not what is conveyed in their advertisements on Instagram.

Hi Ali, Thank you for your feedback and for providing the photos.

Our sealers are recommended for porcelain installations, particularly in exterior applications where porcelain is vitreous and moisture can migrate through grout lines and underlying substrates. Proper sealing of grout and surrounding surfaces is critical in helping manage moisture movement, reduce the risk of efflorescence, and improve long-term performance and maintenance.

It’s also important to clarify that impregnating sealers are designed to reduce absorption and improve stain resistance - they do not make a surface completely stain-proof or eliminate the need for routine cleaning. Based on the image provided, the mark appears to be a surface stain rather than substrate penetration.

Additionally, our sealers continue curing and reach peak efficacy over approximately 30 days following application. Performance characteristics continue to develop during this period, particularly on dense porcelain installations.

Our products have been used on over 15,000 commercial and residential projects over many years, including by professional trades and contractors, and we stand firmly behind their performance when applied in accordance with our surface preparation and maintenance guidelines.

We remain more than willing to review your specific situation in detail and recommend appropriate cleaning steps. Please contact us directly so we can assist further.
