after the first couple of uses so I returned it but took a refund instead of a replacement as I read around and found that my problems were not isolated - either there is a design problem with the stove or quality control is missing, neither of which is acceptable for a stove that sells at the premium end of the market.
Apart from not working properly, manufacturing is generally good and the stove is small and light for a remote canister unit - I suspect if they tightened up their quality quality control and tweaked the design this would be a great stove.
Primus deserve credit for not playing games over the return - I'd trust them again, just not with this model...
In the end I purchased an MSR wind pro 2 instead - heavier, larger and about $20 more but it works flawlessly, is much better built and can cook anything.
