Projecta IP2000 warranty service – In 2018 I purchased the IP2000 as an upgrade to the IP1000 model. It has worked well until 2 days ago when it failed dramatically, the inverter was 3 years old. Whilst my Inverter warranty had expired by 12 months Projecta contacted me and offered to replace the damaged unit. As I have had a few battles with companies who were not willing to… Read more

honour warranty whilst within the warranty period, I was pleasantly surprised. As such my Review reflects the action by Projecta to stand by their product.

Projecta 1000watt inverter – I'm an OLD electrician. Our son uses this inverter in NZ Far North. His home is a 6m ship container. The lights are 5 watt tornado lamps. Lately 5 watt Philips LED with reflector shades from Bunnings. He runs all electronic gear, ie chargers ,radios etc. He has had it for 3 years so far and no problems. They don't like anything with capacitors in… Read more

them. It would not allow an old 500w electrolux to start- just tripped out. So uses a BROOM! Also use a 600 projecta inverter with same lights and 55 watt tv in another bush whare. Both these inverters are modified sine wave. No problems. L

Very Dangerous – I bought this inverter because of the Projecta brand name and its so called performance, I paid big money compared to the so called cheap and nasty inverters that are all over the internet, WELL READ ON I bought a 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter as I worked out that I would only need/use at Max 500 watts, I mounted the inverter in a perfect… Read more

spot in my onsite bush retreat caravan, wired up the bank of three deep cycle battery's, and yes I had power.

This was the first time I didn't need to use my old co2 belching gas lamp, bad in a enclosed caravan. I only use L.E.D globes and a L.E.D Television, a total of around 100 watt's of power, remember I have a 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter.

I used the system on weekends for about six months with all O.K, then one night with all going good, light's and T.V going, I walked out of the caravan to look at the sunset cuppa billy tea in hand.

With a small wind blowing to me from the caravan I smelt a, well plastic smell, I rushed to the van just in time I might add, flames and smoke were emitting from the fan in the rear of the inverter, My Aldi fire extinguisher worked well.

In the morning a good check showed that nothing went wrong with anything that was externally wired, all the 240v gear was working O.K, the only faulty thing was the Projecta 1000watt pure sign wave Inverter. I returned the dead inverter to the place I bought it from, well after many months the inverter is now lost due to the bloke going broke and closing his shop, Projecta didn't want anything to do with me they only laughed and said "Bad Luck".

This Projecta 1000watt pure sign wave inverter could of killed people sleeping in my caravan due to the toxic fumes and/or burnt the van.

DO NOT BUY ANY PROJECTA INVERTER'S IF YOU DO YOU RISK """"" FIRE """"" OR DEATH"""""
