This is the worst insurance company for landlords. It's impossible to lodge a claim as they make up every unrealistic and dodgy excuse not to accept your claim. You are not really insured if you are with Property Insurance Plus. their name should be "Property Insurance Negative" as you just pay the premium for no return. Basically, you are not covered if you are with this company.

A serious red flag – A serious red flag to landlords, avoid PIP insurance or their other party INSURX . I have multiple investment properties. For three of those properties, landlord policy was with PIP and it turned out PIP was the worst choice comparing to lots of other insurers I dealt with so far. PIP is extremely dodgy business and will hurt you by any means.

Never get a Landlord Insurance with PIP – I have been hooked to this land lord insurance by my Real Estate Agent back in 2012, having insurance premiums paId every year after increased at up to 7% per year. rents during repair and renovation, some even cover up to 52 weeks or $25,000. But the Property Insurance Plus (PIP) declined that no such claim could be entertained.

The new renewal notice the PIP sent with Premiums shotted to $1,987.15, and you will be surprised how their auto fill systems filled the minimum coast of: "Sums Insured" Building Costs : $445,010 Contents : $70,000 (Minimum - I cannot change this ?) Legal Liability up to $20,000,000 Loss of Rent up to 52 weeks (Only if the tenant don't pay and you let them stay for XX weeks?) Deliberate Damage & Theft by Tenant to : $445,010 (Same Costs of the Building just to rev-up the premium) Tenant Default of Rent up to 20 weeks
