Magic Board - believe the hype – I recently bought a Pyzel Ghost Pro 6'4"x19 1/2 x 2 /16, 31.6L as a step up board to surf waves in the 5-8ft range (Hawaiian scale so 10-16ft faces). I'm 5'11" 77 kg and 52. Pros: 1. This board paddles unbelievably well- It freaks me out how this board glides into waves and across the water paddling back to the lineup. It paddles better than my other 64 which is 34L. It paddles like a high volume fish board. Takeaway - you need less volume than you think with this board

2. This board is fast on the wave - I surfed it on some 6 foot waves this morning and it made sections I was sure would shut down on me. It went very fast BUT it felt totally in control and VERY manoeuvrable. The combo of fast, total control and very manouverble is something I haven't experienced with any of my other boards. I mean, my 8ft gun gives me total control and is fast but not that manoeuvrable. My 6'8" x 19 1/2" x 2 5/8" JS FMN rounded pin gives me control and manouverablitiy but then it doesnt feel that fast. The ghost pro felt really fast but also really secure and stable and then when I wanted to do something it just did it. Pretty unique in my experience.

3. This board has incredible hold - Again, this morning I has knifing into late takeoffs the board just hung on the face and felt great. It felt like it knew where to go and I was just along for the ride. Its incredibly stable and actually really easy to surf.

4. This board rips - This morning I was amazed by how the ghost pro kept its speed through turns on big open faces. It never bogged. It never caught a rail. It just felt smooth and awesome.

5. Its durable - Well, only one surf in 5-7ft surf and not a single compression which I take as a good sign.

6. It duck dives really well. I would say it duck dived like a board with less volume - my comparison is my lost driver 2.0 30.3L the ghost pro duck dived better. Go figure.

Cons:

I cant think of one. This is for real the best board Ive ever bought. Nothing about it felt wrong or like it would take some getting used to. As soon as I started paddling I knew it was going to be amazing it just glided through the water so well and felt really good.

ADVICE:

- surf it in bigger waves. This morning I was wanting more waves in the 7-8ft range, so 16ft faces, I felt the board could easily get into that size and have a total party.

- get less volume than you think you need. Its not like other boards. Its a magic board. For my weight at 77kg 31.6L was easily enough to get me into 6-8ft waves
