Tyre Air – I have this scooter. After a while I wanted to put some air in the front tyre. It was so difficult to pull out the rubber tap of the gauge. I don't recommend. Took so hard to remove the rubber tap. Don't understand why they made it so difficult.
Not very fast, and struggles with slight hills – My wife bought me one of these to travel to work from where I parked my car, and that distance has a few slight hills. The scooter struggled to take me up them, so I had to use my foot every metre or two to physically push the scooter along. Not what I expected to have to do! With level ground or downhill it's obviously much better. Doesn't… Read more
really seem very fast: I preferred using my teen son's non-electric scooter instead - it's much lighter and actually had a higher speed due to no chains or friction involved (just my leg pushing)! You know something's wrong when a manual scooter out-performs an electric one.
[Edit] At the time of this review (2018), the E300 was no longer for sale on Razor's website; but I note today in 2022 it's back there for sale.
Razor E300. Good product. Terrible after-sales support in Aust – Love the scooter, and used the E300 as a mobility scooter. After I emailed them many times, they have updated their web page making it possible to purchase batteries without a coupon code and I was able to make a successful purchase. Batteries only last a year. I did take care of the batteries as per instructions. An electric scooter without… Read more
working batteries is worse than a manual one. Manual scooters are much lighter as they don't have heavy lead batteries. The scooter itself is great, the after sales service was not. The connections on the battery make getting substitute batteries difficult.
absolute crap – Batteries lasted less than 1 year. Sent away to get new batteries and the ones they send me had different wiring. Managed to fix it and it lasted for another two months before something else died and the scooter dosn't work any more. So dissappointing because it wasnt cheap. Kids are gutted. Don't buy from this mob,
Good electric scooter – Before using this on a public road, you need to check the requirements and rules for riding this scooter with your road agency. Vic Roads determines that this electric scooter is treated like a bicycle - so I need to use it on the road, not on the footpath. I've been using this scooter for at least 3 times a week for the past three months and… Read more
it is really good if you're riding on a shared footpath. It's a bit slow on the road, as it tops off only at around 20 kph, so you'll find that cars are constantly trying to get around you. Also, I've noticed that there's a slight drop in battery capacity since I've purchased it. Maybe that's inherent of the lead acid battery, and not the scooter.
I live about 1.2 km from work. I can walk to work (that takes me about 17 minutes), or I can use my electric scooter to commute to and from the office. It's a great alternative to driving a car.
After Sales Service Outstanding – Santa's elves at Funtastic are awesome. 2 new tyres/tubes sent out under warranty after screw in tyre on Christmas day! Kids love it! So does Dad! Thanks Santa, Thanks Razor! Thanks Funtastic!
