Inaccurate information given from the start, simple documents take days to arrive by email, documents requested that were "expediated" still had to be chased up 5hrs later, staff unable to provide consistent information - will cancel policy as I was not happy with service. Show details

Ageist Organisation – Having been pestered by this organisation for some months to check out their Income Protection Insurance I did so today, only to find out that they only cover 18 - 60 years, so what do 61+ do, it is illegal to discriminate on age. Show details

What is a significant injury – I had Real Insurance Income Protection Cover for 3 years, Policy sold to me over the phone, (probably from a Call Centre outside Australia - the deductions commenced immediately. said and from the Policy I was was completely covered for Income Protection. . After having the Policy for 3 years I was the victim of an assault. My right leg was amputated / removed from just below the hip by the surgeon; if not amputated I was told I would die within 6 months. So i am now one-legged.. I was at qualified Chef... After recovery from surgery I lodged a Claim against my Income Protection Insurance with Real Insurance. .They denied the claim stating it was not a significant injury... on Page 2 half way down the Page it states a 'Significant injury requires two limbs... One Complete Leg Cut Off is not enough; claim denied. Are they for real???
