Has been repeatedly sending me business name renewal letters (redundant service) despite having no consent to market to me. Have reported to the ACCC and ACMA based on breach of privacy and anti-spam laws. Have forwarded a report to the ACCC suggesting they investigate the results for Registry Australia PTY LTD on product review as the content of the positive reviews appears very, very fake
SCAM... because... Can you do it yourself? YES Do they tell you that they are providing a service for double the actual price of the product? NO Are they a Govt dept.? NO It wouldn't be a scam if they explained to you that they are charging additional for a service. It's shocking that these mob got 4.7 star on "Product Review". And there goes away my trust with "Product Review" as well...

If it wasn't a scam, why would they send you a notice that mimics an official government authority telling you to pay a review fee for $495 (50% more than it costs to go to ASIC directly). Note also the plethora of positive reviews on this site which follow a very standard template (thanking a person they've named and then a generic description of the services provided which aren't specific enough for you to figure out that these are things you can do directly online with ASIC or domain providers; or they start with italics). Lots of fake positive reviews, it seems. They're doing a good job of flooding with reviews to hide the real reviews. Note also these fake reviews have random photos of pictures unrelated to the service - picture of a smiling man, a dog with drawn in eyebrows, a messy room.
Over a weekend I received an email from the Registry detailing an error with my account. The email contained very clear instructions on how to fix it, as well as the relevant URL links to help get to the appropriate page to make the necessary changes. check of the email details against information I acquired from independent sources I was left believing that this email was an extremely sophisticated scam. A telephone call to the Registry Support team verified the authenticity of the email, however the support person, Caysie T offered to remedy the error on my behalf thereby saving me time. Whilst the email was more instructive and helpful than any email I have received of this nature the member of the Registry’s support team, Caysie was next level, as well as being professional, kind and very courteous. If Caysie is representative of the staff employed by the Registry, then well done to the Registry, and thank you for the excellent support you provided me.

Perhaps it was because of negative reviews and not being able to think clearly, due to the stress of recent events.
However, after speaking with Ronelle, who was quite friendly, helpful and understanding, I’ve decided that Registry Australia is a great domain provider to be with.
I’m sticking with them. The cost for domains is pretty much the same as most other providers I’ve worked with before. Plus, it was one second before I was able to get in touch with Ronelle in support, which amazed me.
Also, I wasn’t offered a reward, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is that my domain is working with my site now, so that’s MORE than reward enough for me, especially after all this time! I should’ve contacted support long ago!

Negative reviews
Unscrupulous the way they skim ASIC details off the registry and send notices that look like bills for an annual review fee, including payment options on the letter. It should be illegal, but you can tell they have towed the line by putting some fine print about how they are not ASIC. Anyway, I had already prepaid my annual review fees so I don't know what would have happened if I had paid them anyway.
This is scam company. They very much pretend to be ASIC while in very tiny small print say that they are not I assume to cover them selves legally. Don't engage. I'm disappointed that the productreview.com.au review website allows this company to have a presence on it, let alone awarding them 2026 "winner" as they use this on their misleading… Read more

Scam, which I nearly fell for because have so much going on. Totally unnecessary service that gets your details from ASIC registry then sends you unsolicited letters or emails that look very official & important, like they need actioning by you. service to a private ripoff entity (because public entities love to outsource things). But no, ASIC has not outsourced business re registration. Registry Australia wanted to charge a ridiculous $529 for 'Annual Review', (months before registration due anyway), including "ongoing ASIC Compliance" : rubbish. Shred it then ignore it and use the usual ASIC portal, saving money & some privacy. I don't think such practices should be legal.

After trying multiple times through email and the ASIC website to obtain our company ASIC key without any response, our accountant suggested we contact Registry Australia. Stella took my call and immediately assisted with submitting the request. Within an hour, our ASIC key was sent through.
