Renogy DCC50S DC to DC Battery Charger with MPPT

Reliable and Cost Effective – After several cheap Chinese garbage DC to DC charger failures, I was looking for a device that was from a reputable company that was cost-effective and try as I might, I could not buy an Australian made product that fit the budget. My search stopped at the Renogy with the DCC50S, not Australian made but, because it was precisely what I wanted and at a sub $350 price (at the time). I needed a reliable DC to DC charger with solar input which had a maximum battery input of 50 amps. The Renogy hides the input cables and uses posts to connect the cables which is a much better idea. Coupled with the 500A Battery Monitor and shunt, it works really well and I can monitor my battery input and output whilst driving and with the optional Bluetooth module, I can monitor the battery whilst camping too.

The DCC50S keeps my battery charged up fully and with the optional solar input, keeps it running for a lot longer. The DCC50S will also trickle charge the cranking batteries if the auxiliary is full and there is excess current from the solar. The DCC50S also can be switched between AGM and Lithium charging as required which is a great feature for prolonging battery life.

I have been running the DCC50S for well over a year now and it has worked flawlessly and I would recommend this device unquestionably. Renogy themselves have been responsive in answering my questions when I had them and I think that is a good.
