Rexel Momentum X410 Cross Cut Shredder

Not worth the money – Had cheapy from Aldis but thought Id get more heavy duty one but the Momentum X4210 has never performed well, from start it could only shred more than a couple of pages at once. Not good if you need a reliable shredder. You'd think for the price it would be better unit. It's only gotten worse, now Im only one page per shred and takes 30 seconds to chew threw it. Back to buying another one.

Does the job with limitations – Since purchased in 2020, the price has dropped by about $100 and at the new price of $229 it's good value. The main limitation is the relatively short continuous running time of 6 minutes, which sounds like a lot until you start doing a batch of shredding like we do. reasonable count being 6 pages and then it is SLOW. It wouldn't be too bad if the cool down time was reasonable before it could be reused but it is very bit of the 60 minutes in the specifications. If your needs are relatively light, then it's a good choice but I think I'll make the step up next time.
