Rexel Optimum 100X AutoFeed Shredder
1 review
A good shredder for a small to medium sized office – While it is quite large size-wise (see pictures below) it is a good shredder and it has a built in page feeder allowing larger volumes of paper to be processed without someone standing there feeding it 5 pages at a time! It took a long time to arrive after I ordered it however I am glad I waited as dollar for dollar it was the cheaper of the large scale auto-feeders. It does have a few minor issues but I would recommend this, especially if you need it for an office where you might see clients with shredding needs.
Good Points - Multi page feeder (this is why I brought it) - Seems to handle reasonably large volumes before thermal cut off. - Looks the part. (Important if you don't want your clients to think you are cheap!) - Good sized bin drawer. - Reasonably quiet. (Good for shared office) - cross-cut pieces - 2 year warranty - The anti-jam thing seems to work quite well.
Room for improvement - Shredded paper everywhere. No matter how hard I try I always end up with shredded paper outside of the built in capture drawer. - Annoying blue light that flashes every few seconds. Why? - Annoying/unnecessary beep 2-3 minutes after it has finished shredding! (Can probably be turned off but I haven't read the manual yet) - Manual insertion can require some poking to get it to catch if it is just 1 or 2 sheets. - It apparently comes straight from the MFG and took quite a while to arrive.
