Ridge Ryder 160W Solar Panel Kit

Great Solar Panel – Purchased this to keep my 2 X 120amp AGM batteries charged whilst the caravan is in shed. Works a treat keeping them at 100% even with a fair share of very cloudy days. I also purchased an inline solar monitor at the same time as there are only led lights on the mttp controller. It gives battery percentage, volts, watts & amps input. I will use this setup to run my 45 litre Engle. Closing clips are about all I could pick not solid enough Show details
Great Solar Kit, no more need for chargers – I purchased this 160W panel kit for my father at a price of $249.00 and installed it the next day thinking $249 wouldn't really give the greatest results. So to give some background, my dad had a malfunctioning DC-DC Charger that would not charge his 100Ahr Deep Cycle battery to more than 12.2V (maybe 30% charge). panel to at least boost his charge until I could repair his existing setup.
After installing this panel and the included MPPT Solar Charge Controller, I've observed that there is no longer even a need to continue using a DC-DC Charger and have since disconnected it completely. This panel completely charged his battery to 100% (13.2V) in under 1 day of sun, while still running his 40L fridge and 1500W inverter when needed which are both connected full time.
The setup hasn't let his battery dip below 12.9V as yet unless using the high currents of his inverter, and even then its fully charged within the hour.
After owning and using other solar panel setups I could not recommend this kit highly enough and will definitely be installing one into my own ute and camper trailer.
