Wanted to order a delivery from a local Chinese restaurant, Lucky Magpies, at Waitara. The regular delivery company did not list the full menu so googled for another delivery company that serviced the restaurant. Came up with a site called Ritual Food under orderfood.google.com/. Placed an order and waited. No delivery. Called the restaurant, some confusion as to whether Ritual Food operated there! After another call was eventually advised the order had been picked up. It never turned up at my place. My credit card was charged both by Google an...d by Ritual Food. There was no contact number for either ritual food or orderfood.google to make further inquiries. Looking at the ritual food site showed it was a company that only accepted orders for pick up – yet the orderfood.google site clearly showed delivery options. I’m down $52 and food. Moral: Never deal with Ritual Food (Ritual.co) or orderfood.google.com. Postscript: Sometime after posting this I was heading out for some shopping. Backing up the driveway I noticed a plastic bag on the top of the gatepost. It contained the missing dinner from the previous night. So the restaurant had received and processed the order which is good. It was just the delivery that failed. Never in the many years of receiving deliveries has an order ever been left at the top of the driveway out of site of the front door! All other deliveries have had the courtesy to come to the front door and knock/ring before leaving the order. Just confirms my view of the incompetency of Ritual Food.
