Terrible product. Says my dog is at home when he’s currently with me at my parents house. Don’t waste your money. Get one that you have to pay the monthly subscription. They surely work better. $300 isn’t cheap the and customer service is the worst in Australia. No one answers, no one helps. I’d be embarrassed to work for that company. I’m so upset. Show details

Hardy product on my feral farm Kelpie. A game changer when the dog takes off. So appreciative of the tracker and being able to find her. She looks at me when I appear on my quad as if "cool, the Uber found me so I get a ride home". Customer service has been great too. Very helpful and accommodating. Thank you! Show reply

Great product, gave me so much confidence whilst away on the Murray River with so many distractions (kangaroos, birds, fishing, splashing about in the river, motorbikes and cyclists) it was really reassuring know we could track our dog if we needed to. Kids also loved watching the movement history of where we had been with all the squiggles from the days adventures Show details ·  1

Been great. Did alot of research into trackers and this one stood out the most. With the 10 year sim and easy to use app it's been great. Even when out hiking in bush I have been able to keep track of my girl and how far away from me she is. Been able ro worry less now that we have it. No longer worry if she even just gets out the house as I can see where she is very accurately. Show details ·  1

I have 2 Border Collies that have decided to roam together all over our farm and our neighbours farm. I bought 2 trackers. 1 worked perfectly but I couldn’t get the other one to work. I contacted Roamr customer support and got Rosie. We went through the process and when I couldn’t get the tracker to work I sent it back and had a new one in days !… Read more ·  1

They are amazing. The new one is working perfectly and has given me peace of mind knowing where my dogs are. Thank you so much for allowing me to know that my dogs are safe and Rosie you were wonderful to deal with ! Highly recommend

Absolute piece of JUNK .... Save your money and spend it elsewhere. We bought 2 tracker for our two dogs as they kept on running off together and would come back 12+ hours later. So we were concerned so we decided to buy trackers. The reason I bought these of the other big brands was because they didn't have a yearly or monthly subscription.… Read more

Anyway one day my dogs ran off and we live in a forest and the tracker fell of the normal collar (the little rubber bit holding it to the collar broke which roamr suggested using which caused the tracker to fall off). The tracker is lost now roamr team was rude and disrespectful and disregarded all our inquiries and just ignored the genuine questions we had and just made up stories saying that we put it on the LED collar and that is why it fell off but We never even used the LED collars and they are also a piece of junk. So basically their customer support team was rude and we decided to return the other collar and they couldn't even reset the software on their side like we had to physically delete everything (this just says how bad their return system is and the software on the app was slow and laggy). The app sucks it is soooooo slow and dumbley designed like every time I want to check where the dogs were (before the tracker fell off) I would have to go through 20 menu buttons and steps to see their location on the map. JUST as i am finishing writing this review roamr sends out an email saying that they are having technical issues which just shows how much the brand SUCKS. I am so glad i have returned the 1 left over collar and PLEASE STAY AWAY AND SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Do not recommend this product it’s inaccurate and has shown three different addresses when I haven’t even put it on my cat! Very expensive for a product which doesn’t work effectively I would recommend you buy a cheaper product as it’s not worth it! And they don’t offer refunds either

Installed and well tested – I do not like using Chat Bots and much prefer to talk over the telephone. After struggling with the "Help Chat" and receiving some guidance, Roamr was able to highlight a glich with the app programme. The glitch was rectified, I was able to install our dog's tracker app on both my wife's 'phone [Galaxy S7] and my 'phone [Galaxy S8]. I did… Read more ·  1

receive a 'phone call yesterday which just topped off a now great experience having the tracker and app operating quite well. This morning at 4:30 we were visited by a fox, our Corgi wanted out to move the fox on; normally that's a no-no, however , with the Tracker on, i could follow where our Corgi was, and catch up with him quite easily using my 'phone. I wish we had this 6 years ago. I am overjoyed with what this system can do for us. Thank you so much Roamr

Huge must have for escape artists like mine! – I never thought I needed a pet tracker—until Bailey went missing. She’s a cheeky Border Collie who’s obsessed with chasing birds and exploring anywhere she can. I always thought my yard was secure, but lately, she’s figured out how to dig under the fence. By the time I realised, she was gone. Panic set in immediately—but thank god I had Roamr on… Read more ·  1

her collar! I grabbed my phone, opened the app, and within seconds, there she was—two streets over, sniffing around a park like it was no big deal.

Without Roamr, I would’ve been searching for hours, but instead, I jumped in my car and found her within minutes. She just looked up at me, tail wagging, like, What took you so long?

That day, I realised how much of a lifesaver a pet tracker really is. Roamr doesn’t just give me peace of mind—it helps me keep Bailey safe. If you’ve got a pet who loves to wander, trust me, you need Roamr!

Best Australian Tracker by a MILE! – Absolutely love this tracker for my dog! After trying so many other brands, I found they just weren’t worth the subscription fees. This one is a game-changer—I get it for 10 years, and it does exactly what I need! Super happy with my purchase and highly recommend it to all dog and cat owners! Show details ·  1

Great product – Very happy with our purchase of the Roamr tracker, it really does give peace of mind while our new rescue doggo learns not to run off chasing bunnies! As far as providing an accurate depiction of where our dog is it works perfectly well. We live semi-rural and some pockets have patchy phone reception, and yet there's been no issue with the tracker… Read more ·  1

thus far, every walk in the forest that we have done has tracked her exact location perfectly (even after testing it out and walking a bit off-track). The unit itself seems quite robust, and not as bulky as an alternative that we were considering. I researched a few options before deciding on this one, and given that thus far it is doing the job that it claims to do, I would agree with the company in saying this is the best pet tracker on the Australian market. This unit has saved us thousands of dollars in re-fencing costs, and in time will also mean that our dog gets to have more of a life with off-lead walks as we know that if she does become lost, we can easily locate her.

Fantastic Product – We live in rural Victoria with Italian Greyhounds and needed security with dog trackers for peace of mind. AirTags are useless in the country (they require additional devices within 60m for information, outside the city the AirTags are totally useless) so required GPS with phone data reception. After 3 months of extensive research we short… Read more ·  1

listed Roamr and PitPat so we purchased both for a trial. PitPat is fine if you’re not that interested in knowing where your pets are, if they get out you wont know till you log into the PitPat account, by that time your pet could be many kms away. Roamr on the other hand gives several barriers that you select and will warn you the moment your pet wonders outside a given area and then gives 1 minute updates on a map you can clearly read/follow to find your pet. The other issue is Roamr uses Telstra where as PitPat doesn’t and as Telstra has way more towers than anyone else, so your better off with the one that covers more of Australia. They are both the same price however Roamr is way more appealing and NO there are no monthly subscriptions to either one. The selling point for us came with a local representative being in Victoria who kindly called when we needed guidance in the setup stages. The Roamr was so impressive we ended up purchasing another unit and gave the PitPat unit away. We 100% recommend Roamr and because you ask, no we haven’t been rewarded or given discount for writing this review.

Highly recommend for cats who like to roam – I bought two trackers for my cats who are indoor / outdoor cats and have a few hours outside each day previously on a leash. I live by a very busy road so was always worried about letting them off on their own. But the trackers have given me peace of mind that I can set alerts if they go near the road. One of my cats is also prone to wandering… Read more ·  3

for 7 hours at a time. The tracker is great at being able to help me locate her and see she is still active and the general area she is in.

Pros: - Peace of mind. Cats explore and get into trouble! Even if my cat hasn’t come back I know nothing terrible has happened as can set a no motion alarm and see the area they are in - It easily fits on their collars and doesn’t bother them at all - You can set numerous people up on the app at once - The live mode is great if you start to worry and can track them quickly - No subscription was a big reason I bought this over the other apps

Cons: - If you check location too regularly the battery life does go down quickly. My cats only wear theirs for a few hours a day and I keep them charged to 100% whenever they go out. - It’s not 100% accurate. If they are near a building or under a house it can throw the location out by quite a bit. But you get used to knowing when that is happening and what is accurate and what is not.

I spent a long time researching what tracker to get and overall I would highly recommend. I don’t know why more people don’t use them on their cats!

Absolutely Recommended – We live off grid and in the bush so buying a good tracker was necessary in case our dog Jake wonders off on his own. And I’d say, buying this tracker was the best thing I did. Thanks Roamr!! Works incredibly well. Show details ·  5

Great tracker – Our Jack Russell has discovered rabbits. We live in a rural area so if he goes on an adventure, he travel quite far. I bought the Roamr Tracker a few months ago and it has been one of the best investments I have made. It has helped me find Wally when he recently escaped (despite him being around 1 kilometre away in hole under a blackberry bush). Show details ·  1

A "must have" for owners of canine escape artists – Some dogs are angels. Mine definitely is! Well, 99% of the time. But when, out of the blue, the chip in his brain switches to "rabbit chase mode", he is gone - sometimes for an hour or more. Which used to be extremely stressful. Now that I've fitted his collar with a Roamr Tracker his rare escapes are still concerning, but the ability to follow… Read more ·  1

his movements and then intercept him are priceless. I was skeptical about the need for a 4G tracker but in retrospect it's been an excellent investment. An insurance policy for my expensive Covid dog, and good for my mental health!

Recently Roamr have introduce a flat fee of $100 for ten years access to the 4G network, which is fantastic value. There are other GPS / 4G trackers out there, but you are either locked in to an expensive annual fee, or have to source and install your own SIM card. None of which compare with the Roamr 10 year deal.

I'm also impressed with the smart phone app that allows you to monitor your pet's location. It's feature rich and easy to set up and use. It's great being able to switch the map to satellite view, especially if your pet has escaped into a large park, forest or farmland.

It is quite a chunky tracker, not ideal for small or miniature dogs (but workable).

It comes with a neoprene sleeve for attaching it securely to most collars, but this doesn't work with wider collars. Instead I permanently attached the tracker using galvanised wire, and remove the collar in the evening to charge it.

Fantastic tracker for our dog! – This is a fantastic product and I highly recommend Roamr for any dog owner needing to monitor their dog's location.
