SAE University College

I wrote this review on another site and it has been flagged for defamatory content, which is not true. I was at SAE Sth Melb campus for audio and let me just say, you can learn more from watching a good set of YT videos online at your own pace, rather than pay a ridiculous price to watch them in class. The lecturers are pretty much unable to answer questions, thinking they don't deserve to. I had 1 lecturer who would waste our time, give us assignments late, then not grade them and have another lecturer grade them. In one instance, I had another student throw a lemon at me in the passage way hitting me in the back, he was a famous YTber, I spoke to course coordinator about this behavior and was told not to worry because he would be gone soon, he ended up graduating. So if they think assault can be swept under the rug, by all means please attend an institution where students welfare is not paramount, the class rooms are too small to accommodate the year intake, students interfere with others learning, students spitting on the ground at the front of the campus and general disgusting behavior towards others. What I learned at this campus is, lecturers don't care about your workload, if you fall behind, they want you to repeat, that's how they make additional money. Courses have an additional 25% fee levy compared to Tafe or Unis. Being a mature aged student, I have never encountered such a frustrating learning environment in my life. There were a lot of times equipment was not working, so that class that was scheduled to use said gear, was never taught, I mean the whole point of hands on is to gain experience, that never happens, so you just simply miss out, most of the course is theory based, you never get to use equipment in class, then you're given assignments that require knowledge of desks etc, but it's too late because of failed classes prior. It's comical, it's appalling, you are better off buying a good set of monitors, a good audio interface, some sound treatment and doing it yourself. I have a good amount of gear on my desk, I have learned how to mix and master my own tracks and could not be happier for it.
EDIT: I just got an email saying my review has been reinstated because it is not defamatory. This says more about SAE trying to censor my review than it does about the false claims they made.
