Avoid At All Costs – This printer is basically worthless. We have had it for 3 months, in that time it has been repaired 4 times and now needs a new drum. STAY AWAY!! The toners are expensive, the quality of the print isn't exceptional and it is a BIG machine that takes quite a bit of real estate in the office.

Very Disappointed – I purchased this printer 4 years ago. It looked a little on the expensive side but promised good features and functionality. I expected better quality prints and cheaper running costs but got neither. It came as a great shock that within weeks, the duplex wouldn't work! After a call was logged with Samsung, a technician arrived on site with… Read more

a number of parts that Samsung had provided to him. Neither the technician nor Samsung knew what was wrong with the printer so all parts were replaced. Since then, there have been too many paper jams for my liking. Toner replacement for this machine is very pricey and I find the number of copies per toner cartridge is well below what Samsung led me to believe I would get making it very expensive to operate. The printing speed is quite slow and takes a very long time 'calibrating' before printing the first colour page. The colour quality is poor and the text quality is not as good as my Canon MP610 Ink Jet. There are periods when faded or blank spots appear in the pages which are not rectified by referring to the Manual Troubleshooting section. Last week, I had a major issue, a horrible scratching noise when powered on and much worse when it printed a page. The rubber edging in the transfer belt had come away and was doubled up in various places. The transfer belt is supposed to last for 50,000 pages not 7,500 (avg of 5/day) which is all I have done to date. It cost me $247 to order a replacement online and I feel it was throwing good money after bad. If not for 4 full ink toners, I would probably have taken it to the tip. Overall, I feel it was a mistake to purchase this printer and my advice to prospective purchasers would be to avoid this one.

Disappointing Printer Does Not Live Up to Samsung's Reputation – I have had so many problems with this printer - from continual paper jams, to colour bleeds, to double vision printing. After mounting problems, I gave my printer in for servicing. My technician, however, was able to get another printer (exactly the same model) from Samsung. It had been used as floorstock. However, it has only been 1 and a… Read more

half months since I received it, and the paper is jamming again. There is a loud squealing noise as the printer tries to print. And now, it has stopped working. In my line of work, I need a reliable printer that can print fast, as well as scan and photocopy. This printer promised all of these functions, but fails to deliver time and time again.

Paper jams, poor colour printing, double vision printing

Great Boat Anchor – This printer is full of features and well priced. But that is where the good news ends. The printer started out fine but before long we started to have problems with it. It has been in for major repairs twice already and now we are having more problems with one of the Samsung branded toners bleeding ink over very page it prints. We have been told… Read more

by Samsung we have to replace the toner at our own expense - so much for buying original Samsung toner. The printer also has problems with the alignment of pages when they are scanned.

The support from Samsung has been terrible. The supplier of the printer has stood behind the printer but has had continual problems with getting parts from Samsung under warranty. We have been told by the supplier that it is apparent there are some manufacturing defects with this printer with many of their client experiencing identical problems with the printer. Its not bad luck, its a poorly designed printer.

We are cutting our losses on this printer and replacing it with a Canon. Features Unreliable, manufacturer defects and poor warranty backup from Samsung

Shocker! – I have had a samsung printer from new (a couple of years) and have had nothing but dramas with it! such a lemon. Never connects, always jams, needs service all the time - have only ever used geniuine parts and am so gentle with it - have bought a tiny desk top Brother printer and it never fails in comparison. The samsung help desk were so slow to repsond and so unhelpful. Never again. always warming up, always jams, always unreliable

Bad experience!!!! – Just purchased this printer new. After only a few uses, the printer picked up multiple pages and also crumpled up pages, jamming them everywhere imaginable. I constantly had to gut the machine to get to them. Then, as if this was not annoying enough, a window kept coming up in my computer print menu telling me the printer was "not connected to my… Read more

computer" or "can't communicate" or "not found", and I could not print anymore at all. When speaking to the Samsung technical support on the phone, they told me to switch the power supply off for half an hour, and then back on this should fix the problem. Well, it didn't. Then they told me to re-boot the whole installation disc. This did not work either, although I tried this several times. Some weeks later, despite 2 visits from the technician which each took 4 hours as he took the machine apart completely to replace god knows how many parts, the machine did print by itself, but not from the computer. This issue could not be rectified. I am now hoping for a refund from Samsung, god knows when and I really had to make a huge song and dance about it. Also, this machine is incredibly noisy, it sounds like a rocket going off next to you, and it also gets terribly hot! Hotter than I ever experienced laser printers to be before. inexpensive, ok print quality Multiple problems, software issues, noisy, hot, customer service so-so

Excellent – An amazing amount of printing/scanning/copying functions given its price class - very satisfied. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a multifunction colour laser. incredible amount of functionality given its price; duplex printing/copying/scanning; reasonable cost per page; flawless installation; excellent photo print quality (for a laser) -… Read more

Excellent – This is the cheapest printing price for similar priced products, very fast first page and the printer prints duplex (usually only avaliable on a full size machine). The scannner is auto duplex too, but its a little slow compare to a a dedicate scanner, but on a multi purpose machine, its the fastest I have seen. Highly recommended, have a few… Read more
