Reliable colour printer scanner
Great colour printer. Controls user friendly. Good connectivity though recently had to re-install printer driver. Printed excellently after that. The 4 cartridges (black, cyan, magenta and yellow) are as a package about $260 delivered. Would certainly recommend.

terrible product from Samsung
Have hardly been able to use this printer... poor print quality, slow, poor print quality, expensive cartridges from Samsung... unable to find support... except online general offering. Cannot afford to buy Samsung again when it has been so unreliable. Have had to use less expensive inkjet printers and resigned to consigning this Samsung printer to the rubbish. Have purchased many Samsung products in the past but have been burnt with this purchase... closely followed by Note 7 problem.

Samsung say this is a 24ppm printer. Nope, nada, not remotely possible. We are lucky to get 1ppm. It jammed from the outset on ever print job more than 5 pages. Forget double siding as it jammed on every page. Replacing toner cost more than the printer - yes that is right. A full set of toner costs more then teh printer itself!!! Unbeleivable. This has really put me off Samsung print products. Going back to HP.

Slow, slow, slow
Have to wait for a long time to get anything to print. It seems to want to warm up every time it prints a new page even just 30 seconds later than the last one. It's also noisy while it's doing it and then beeps three times after the page is printed. Why that would be made a feature is beyond me unless you are trying to annoy people. If so then "well done".

terrible printer do not buy one
these printers are terrible, have had heaps of problems with it.
the most frustrating thing is it takes ages to print a page sometimes (up to 10minutes)
also it has just recently jammed up so bad that it nearly caught fire lots of burning smell
it is only 12 months old.

Frustrated
This printer has a vertical gap down the printed page leaving a blank area or an unreadable area.
Most frustrating.
Very disappointed with this machine.
I have changed the used toner cartridge, and if I take out the cartridges and shake them, it prints a little better for a short time.
Not impressed by the CLX-6260
This printer is not any good. Yes, it prints, but when printing pictures, it takes forever and is really slow. One page with a picture on it? Half an hour before starting the print itself. The web interface says its formatting. The printing of the page itself is comparably very quick, but the next copy? Another half hour.
In addition to this major fault, there is lots of little annoying things, too numerous to retell, that makes me want to throw it out the window and into the river down below.
Stay away.

Great Print Quality and Features but let down by everything else
We bought this unit for the duplex scanning and printing functionality as well as for the high quality of the colour printing and in this respect it is a great machine. However it is the most frustrating printer we have ever owned.
The manual appears to be in English but may as well be in Swahili for all the sense it makes. It is absolutely no use to the average user.
Right from day one we have had toner cartridges start bleeding colour onto the pages when still partly full so have had numerous replacements (but all wasting our time a...
Read morend paper). I have to keep re-installing the software, wireless connection etc as it frequently loses or changes settings - and as we print from four computers I have to do it for all four. The cost of the OEM toner cartridges is truly appalling. I knew the running costs for these were quite high but the cost for this is not pleasant. Due to the continued and unresolved cartridge issues from day one, we have requested Samsung replace the machine. We are not holding our breath as Samsung's customer service phone number seems to be a black hole and they don't seem to mind wasting our time holding on for them to answer.Other Printers

Poor build quality
We've brought three of these units now and two of them have played up in different ways. One unit had problems with the input tray sensor which the Samsung Tech had to come out a number of times before he found the problem and then the whole machine had to be replaced. The other problems we had with the 2nd unit was the Postscript & PCL drivers stopped working for colour prints. This was was too hard to prove to the Samsung Techs as they kept coming out and testing only with the SPL driver which does half the work on the computer. All in all I'...
Read moreve just found the build quality of the unit and internal drivers terrible. If it worked and was a little stronger in some parts it would be a pleasure to use as the interface and speed are good, but it cannot last the distance after about 6 months of light use and it's out.Find out how Samsung CLX-6260 Series compares to other Printers

How many repairs and service calls can one make?
I made at least 4 calls since January 2013 and the Melbourne contractor came to carry out repairs 3 times. In my last call earlier this month I asked for a replacement. Problem: print quality with vertical lines. At the third repair the repairer found out it he needed to replace the faulty (factory original) cartridge. I got problems once again when I purchased a factory original black cartridge - what is my chance of getting defective cartridge again? Please ask Samsung. How much has Samsung spent on repairs, more than the cost of the machine ...
