I don't need to know where my cat was twelve freaking hours ago. Only works when near someone who has a Samsung phone and is opted into their stupid "Samsung Find" which no one is. These idiots should be fired, or just stop breathing.

I have returned mine; it is useless. You would think when your bag gets moved you would get some alert, but nothing happens though “Notify when movement detected” was on. Search nearby: camera function doesn’t work. Tag was left in my car at shops parking, I was already in the car & it was still trying to find my car & battery is full and my phone is a Samsung s23 Ultra, not an old model. I have spent nearly half a day trying to make those functions work, looking for answers on the net and on forums. Factory reset on the tag, Smart things uninstalled and reinstalled. Google Play Services for AR uninstalled & reinstalled, no avail.

Purchased in at Amazon.com.au for $37.

Disappointed. The tag updates location only when it has come into proximity to a Samsung device. So would be ok in a densely populated area but limited use in a regional area.

Purchased in at digiDirect for $119.

SmartTag that's not so smart – Hopeless product for tracking cars, if you want instant update on locations. We decided to purchased a couple of these SmartTags to put in our cars. For tracking should they be stolen. It doesn't always update, as it requires other Samsung phones to be in proximity. To "spot" the tag, triangulate and update its location to the app. We are located in Adelaide, South Australia. The fact that it takes anywhere from15-60minutes plus for locations to be update might reflect that Samsung phones are not popular in Adelaide.

Being the 21st century, you think they have the technology for the Tag to pick up and triangulate its location from countless communication towers and ping it back on the app for display, showing real time location, instead of waiting 15-60mintues plus on other samsung phones.

Wouldn't waste my money on this. There are better trackers out there.

Bad battery consumption – Purchased new Samsung Smart Tag 2 around 4 months ago. It tracks as per the marketing blurb. However the claim of 500+ battery hours is a con. I am getting less than two months battery life. Smiley
