Samsung is Horrible brand horrible products and horrible customer service – Spent 7k on Laser Projector and Screen plus $549 for extended product care. 2 years down system became faulty with small dots appeared. Product care took it to be repaired, they replaced PLC if the projector and returned after 4 weeks with new fault with half screen blurry. Then took it to my Harvey Norman store who logged the complaint with Samsung Product team with all the evidence. 8 weeks later Samsung product care called me and informed there is no issue with the projector and they are returning the device to Harvey Norman. Harvey Norman escalated this with Samsung and finally a claim was approved. This is my second experience with Samsung (had another Samsung Smart TV which had lots of issue which never got resolved) and I will never recommend anyone opting for Samsung products. So two product care case multiple escalation and 3 months before claim was approved that too because I bought additional product care
Their product are customer service is absolutely pathetic. If I could give negative star then I would have done that.
Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $4,844.
Bad luck – Samsung AU store messed up the shipping so I got my projector one month late.. but the bad luck didn’t stop there. The picture quality is reasonably well but still not bright enough to use it during the day. As I have owned it for 2 years now and developed a stuck pixel. Warranty is short in only 12 months and now I’m stuck with an eyesore after paying for such expensive projector.
Purchased in at Samsung Online store for $3,999.

Be prepared to get lemon and do not expect a service from Samsung – Disappointing Service Experience with Samsung While the projector itself is impressive and on par with other triple-laser projectors in the market, my experience with Samsung’s after-sales support has been extremely disappointing. My unit failed within the first six months. After the initial service in March, the issue still wasn’t resolved. In fact, each subsequent repair has introduced new problems: first a completely dead unit, then a persistent red line at the bottom of the screen, and now a misaligned lens.
The real issue begins when your case is escalated—there’s no direct communication with the escalation team. Unlike LG, Samsung does not offer a standby unit during repairs, nor do they perform in-home servicing. Instead, your unit is taken to a service center where it's diagnosed, parts are ordered, and only then is it assigned to an engineer—this process alone took over two weeks.
Throughout this ordeal, there were no proactive updates or responses to my emails. I ended up making 14 calls, each averaging 40 minutes, to an overseas call center that could do nothing more than send emails to the case officer, who never responded.
In summary, be prepared for a frustrating support experience—Samsung’s service model is far behind competitors like LG.he issues

Big screen TV - that disappears when you don't want it! – 04th Jun 25: 3rd year usage update: Wanted to let you know how we have been using this so far - its past its 3rd year mark. The frequency of usage has gone down for the last 6 months or so - not due to the device per se - but we've been very busy. But whenever we get the time to - we use the projector to catch our TV shows, movies and just about anything - so much so that we've stopped watching the old TV - albeit when I'm all alone and couldn't be bothered to use the projector for a quick watch. So few observations:
1. The device works just like day 1. Except when the cabinet on which it sits gets bumped while cleaning the room. But then adjusting the image is very easy. So we are loving it every time we use. 2. We had my in-laws visitng us - and they loved it! They watched their favourite TV shows and old films and were amazed at the details that they had missed earlier on their regular TV. They loved the clarity and colours. 3. There's no cover for the white projector. We cover it using an off-white micro-fibre cloth to save it from dust. Furthermore, it is so uninteresting when covered up, visitors don't even notice it is what it is! :) 4. I did notice that the lens has accumulated dirt that as you know floats in your houses. I have wiped it away using a clean cloth. But Samsung needs to make something like the point and shoot camera we had like 15 years ago. The lens covers slide in place when the device gets switched off to protect the delicate lens. 5. There's a lag from the time you hit the power-on button and the time it detects it. This we have noticed from day 1. So you might have to hit the on button on the remote a couple of times before the device detects it. 6. We have tried connecting our mobile devices to it to watch our photos and videos. The experience is seamless! As long as the video/photos have good resolution - it is fun to watch them on big screen! 7. The image does seem dull when there's ambient light. The grey wall does help. However to enjoy the experience - we just pull down the roller blinds.
So even after 3 years we are loving our purchase decision. There might be other players in the market now - but you won't go wrong with this!

We wanted a second TV for our rumpus room - the earlier one a Samsung 65" wasn't big enough for the family. They were eyeing the big 85" ones around in the market recently. I was (as usual) ignoring them - too big I thought.
I hit upon this while fooling around the Samsung site and was a bit skeptical. My friends do have projector systems and all cost upwards of $15,000 or so. Definitely out of our budget. A quick check at our appliance stores (The Good Guys, Harvey Norman) put this at $9,999 - that too a bit expensive. But then got a deal and got it just for a steal - the triple laser one. In fact we bought it even before seeing the demo. But when we went to collect it, we requested the seller to give us a demo. Whoa! We were blown away!
We have set it up to project on a wall. Ensure that the wall is painted gray (we used Dulux "Endless Dusk") not white and you won't go wrong. Also you'd need a TV trolley (or a coffee table) shorter than 450mm. Lower the better, so that you can get a bigger screen size w/o hitting the ceiling/wall horizon.
Pros: 1. Picture quality is exceptional. Even during day time. 2. Colours are good. 3. No cabling to run. Just plug it in, connect the TV cable and you are good to go! 4. Connects to wifi immediately. OS similar to our Samsung TV - so no learning required. 5. You switch it off - the TV disappears! No ugly black screen. All you are left is a small white box that is so inconspicuous - that no one knows its there. The wall is clean - no wires, nothing!
Cons: 1. Costly w/o the discount we got. 2. Unless the wall is perfectly flat you'll see straight lines getting curved. We've tried to adjust the screen - but can't be helped. Walls aren't perfectly flat. So unless you can invest in a $3000 projector screen, this is the best bet. 3. Remote doesn't have a backlight. So you end up hitting the wrong button during a movie - and guess what - that's a mood spoiler! 4. Sound on its own is just OK. Connect it to a decent movie speaker system using the eARC HDMI port - and wow! You don't have to go to a movie theatre - ever!
