Series 8 is pretty old and smart TV is very slow. Suggest buying such as a chromecast google TV and plug that into HDMI. It makes for a much better and modern user experience.

Has anyone developed lines going top to bottom on this tv?

No lines on this one yet, but it does switch off randomly every now and then. Sometimes 2 or 3 times in an hour and then is will be fine for a few months.

Did the lines get worse over time?

the lines got really bad over time - was not under warrantee so had the screen replaced.... it took nearly six months and many phone calls / e-mails and tooing and froing between Samsung and repairers to end up with a fuzzy refurbished TV - not even the equivalent value of the original one - gave up and accepted it :-(

What do you advise me about Samsung Series 8 LED D8000? i want to buy it

Not so thrilled with it these days, found some annoying issues that I can't resolve. DVD & TV broadcast can be quite poor compared to a 46" screen we have - mostly due to being low res & poor quality in colour in the first place, all exacerbated by the sheer size of screen. These only some much upscaling tech can do. Even some BLU Rays dont have great image quality, some can be very grainy. I have also found that the image seems to stumble quite often. The image seems to skip a few frames or something so theres a break in the natural flow. I cant pin it down to a regular time frame but its within a minute. Reading a abit about it it may be a 24 frames per second issue exacerbated by the sheer size of screen. Also has issue with obvious banding and the blooms you may have read about are significant and very disappointing in certain scenes. I wouldn’t have bought this unit if I knew it had these issues. Maybe go for a High Quality 46” (maybe 55”) and sit a little closer.
