Nasty chemicals – Schwartzkopf airspray contains Methacrylate copolymer, Aminomethyl propanol, Dimethicone, and artificial fragrance. These chemicals have links to being carcinogenic. Use a natural holding product instead.

Strong! Lives up to its name – This is an extra strong hairspray - strength of 4 out of 5 - that does preserve your hairstyle. I used to use this everyday to keep my floppy hair out of my eyes and off my face. But now that I have re-discovered mousse, I use this hairspray only when I know that I need extra hold e.g. on windy days. The con, however, is that it does give you helmet hair if you use too much. Your hair looks good, but is hard to the touch.

But it does brush out easily.

Besides the strength, the big plus for me is that it is a non-aerosol hairspray and that goes a long way to assuaging my green guilt. In fact, it is the only non-aerosol hairspray I have seen at the supermarkets and chemists.

As it is frequently out of stock, I always buy 2 - one to use, and one as a spare.
