Disappointing – 30 min ride time. 10 km travelled. On a full battery and 6.5 hour charge. Disappointing. No front brake. No neutral. They call it regenerative braking that cant be turned off even when off. I cant even coast downhill or use it manually when it shuts down with errors. Sowly pushing unit and speedo is reading 6km/h. if u want truth.. Firmware is not tuned or just bad design smells like cooked alternator . Used only 3 times. App is poor. Good fot trips under 3km away if flat, dry spring weather, and your 130lbs. Invest in fire extinguisher. Never bring indoors. Seriously.

a brand new one as it had serious computer issues, after Six Months her New Replacement Scooter started having many battery issues. No amount of Factory Resets would fix it, Consider that she was lucky to use it once or twice a fortnight. ......eventually the scooter would no longer charge or start. Keep in mind her scooter is in Perfect Condition with no Marks or Scratches. This Replacement Scooter had been returned to JB HIFI SEVEN Weeks ago. We have never been contacted by the repairer for updates as we were told they did and we waited 20 minutes at JB HIFI a week ago trying to find out where it is , They say that the Ninebot Scooter repairer is So busy because Segway make so many Faulty Scooters with Faulty Parts that it takes forever to get your scooter back fixed. My F40A scooter also has many problems such as making annoying Noises and screws coming undone all the time. The APP for the scooter is absolutely hopeless and the biggest shock is when the battery gets to 20 Percent left the scooter stops running and only goes at a slow walking pace and won't go up inclines so don't expect a nice relaxing trip it may end up in a unnecessary walk home pushing a useless scooter that still has plenty of battery power to get you home.
Great quality – Very happy with this purchase from JBHifi on special... Good quality as expected from the Segway brand. Speed is fine for Australian restricted speeds. Was a gift for my partner to use to get to work. He rides it full speed (sports mode) on a flat bike path with some stop/starts at lights, 8 mins each way, so 16 minutes per day and 4 days before charge needed. Highly recommended. Show details

Don’t be fooled by the range – Had one which did 18km on the full battery and I wasn’t even riding hills etc. took it back thought it was a dud. The replacement I got was exactly the same. Bout 18k on the charge. If you want 40k range, do NOT buy this. You’ll get half if you’re lucky. If anyone says they get 30k you must be lying. Show details

Range will vary for everyone due to rider weight, driver mode and style, so I really recommend recording rides with the app to get a understanding of what range your battery will support for you specifically.
I've been very satisfied with my purchase and experience with this e-scooter and highly recommend checking it out if you're in the market for one.

is much reduced. After an 8km ride, the battery is down to 30%. Now with the F40, with its 120kg max load, I feel more confident that the scooter isn't stressed and I'm riding within its limits. The improvement over the F20A is immediately noticeable. More torque and pulling power. It eats up inclines. It has a claimed max range of 40km. With long inclines and stop/start runs on the local cycle path, the battery was down to 10% in D mode after 30km. I'm happy with that. Before heading out on your first ride, check the alignment of the rear disk brake. Mine needed the cable tightened and the calliper centred over the disk. Otherwise, fit the handlebar out of the box, tighten the bolts, register on the Segway app, and you're ready to ride. The app tracks your progress, displays battery level, kms travelled and maps where you've ridden. Very useful features.
