Does not stick – I tried to stick a broken handle of tea pot..............left it overnight and it was still rubbery and did not adhere to ceramics. This product is not as described on the label and does not work!

Zero shelf life, it sets in the tube within days – The glue itself is very good but you MUST let it cure for 3 days before any load. It's texture is like silicone, firm not runny and flexible when dry. It is a strong hold adhesive, good on non porous surfaces. I glue painted pine strips (40mm x 12mm) to aluminium sheets to make wall hangings. I sanded both surfaces and etch primed the aluminium… Read more

first. I was very happy with all of the above. I sealed up the cap of the tube really well to ensure no air could get in, then sealed the whole tube in a plastic bag, wrapped it it a towel and put it in a cupboard in the house. One week later I had to glue my next wall hanging and the glue had gone hard inside the tube. I had to force a screw driver right in to find some soft glue and make a channel for it to get out. It is really sticky stuff and made a big mess and I had to waste a lot of glue and time. I need to use a fairly small amount of glue every week or so. The next time I did it I had to dig further in with the screw driver and found it very difficult to get out of the tube. At $18 a tube and all this hassle I will not buy it again. Selleys should clearly and in large letters say on the tube that it MUST be used once opened.

Total waste of time and money! – Bought this product to glue light metal strips to plastic. Even sanded plastic for more adhesion. Had to look up curing time as not described on tube. Left to cure for over 48 hrs. Items fell apart on removing clamps. another 300 km round trip to find a decent glue, more time wasted. Expensive mistake. Will do my utmost to avoid ANY Selleys products.

Great product – This product sticks like crap to a blanket. It has worked really well. I used it to on a sleeve to repair a pvc stormwater pipe, as an extra bit of grip for a bracket on a hollow wall. The key is to leave the product to set fully for 48 hours. 4 stars as this is not stated on the tube, you need to go to their website for the curing time.

Don't buy it! – Spent a full day using it according to instructions, didn't work and now Gunna have to spend days getting the residue off before I can start again at the beginning.

Sellys, please re-label this product – NOT The One, is what the label ought read. Applied as directed. 24 hours the product has formed a flexible skin and is behaving the same as Sellys Silicone Sealant.

Would never use a Selleys product again – Just bought two tubes of this ( The One Adhesive ) from Bunnings, I went to the store looking for Ramset product but of course Bunnings do not stock Ramset products any more even though the product is still on their webb page, as in stock. STRONG BOND on ANY surface what a load of rubbish. After 3 hours the product has not set it has only formed… Read more

a skin over the surface. I come from construction and required a strong bonding product, this is a wast of money and as for the second tube its going back for a refund.

Selleys should be ashamed of the claims that are making, this is a second rate product.

Never again would I purchase a Selleys product, no wonder Bunnings sell it, its a bad product.

Save your money

Avoid at all costs – Almost impossible to use. Broke two caulking guns trying to use it as it’s so viscous. Bond strength is pretty average also. My advice would be to investigate alternatives before purchasing. It’s not cheap either.

Useless – Used the simple pva aquadhere. Too watery and didnt work despite being the most expensive pva glue there. How difficult is it to make a decent product?? Its PVA glue for christs sakes!

Works well so far ! – I have had good results with this adhesive in quite a few applications so far. Seems to survive out in the weather pretty well. Forms a tough but still somewhat flexible bond ...not 'rigid' like e.g. Araldite . Note - This product has a 48 hour curing time so need to (a) support the job and (b) be patient AND (c) Selleys does not make… Read more

this clear on the packaging nor the instructions on their web-site ! ( I think this was the problem with another reviewer who didn't like it. ) But , so far so good for this handyman.

What a waste of money – The tube of Selleys The One adhesive boasts "a strong bond on ANY surface". The instructions on the back say flexible, wet or dry surfaces, fast curing...and so on. Don't believe it! I attempted to stick a small strip of wooden trim (approx 45cm x 4ccm x 0.5cm) to some smooth, dryplaster board (INDOOR). Spread some Selleys The One adhesive… Read more

evenly over the back and held in place for 30+ mins. Removed what was holding it in place and GUESS WHAT, the piece of wood fell away from the plaster board. This product wasn't cheap. Not worth the money!
