A positive experience with electrical services and staff
The Electrician, Gareth was respectful, professional and friendly. The work was completed in a timely manner and I was provided a quote for further work, along with details about the completed job. Older house with lots of DYI electrical work urgently needing an extensive upgrade of fuse box, wiring, lighting indoors & outdoors and security installation.Prompt attendance for quoting and same day quote provision by Trent.
Next day commencement of electrical upgrade by lead electrician Paul and his team including Anthony and Joshua.. They worked hard and seamlessly to get the job done in 3.5 days. At all times, the team showed care & respect for the property including cleaning up each day. At the end of the job it was made clear that the team were committed to providing any follow up needed. Absolute Rip Off
I needed a light switch replaced, and an air con service.The technician that came out was just a heating+cooling tech (and not a heating+cooling+electrician like I was told they'd be) and I had to pay them $149 to not have anything fixed, but just to get a quote.
I was quoted $600 to replace the light switch, and discovered that the aircon was too old to repair, so was quoted $6,000 for a new aircon unit.
I got the job done with local trades for more than 50% less. Don't waste your time with these guys.
Shocking experience
Shocking experience. The plumber did a no show. Thank god he didn’t turn up because he tried to rip me off. Service today quote was $1000 and plumber who did the job cost me only $280. On 11th December 2023 we had a leaking tap in the kitchen sink. I called Service Today as they seemed like a reputable company but oh how wrong i was! I was busy with work so organised them to come at an off peak time when my wife was home. They diagnosed the job as "REPLACEMENT OF KITCHEN PULL OUT VEGIE SPRAY MIXER Isolate water supply. disconnect and remove existing kitchen mixer, fitnew kitchen pull out mixer, test." They insisted my wife pay $993 and with limited knowledge she agreed to this. I sought quotes for this job after the event as... I questioned Service Today on their pricing and all they would say is that my wife agreed to it and that was that. Do not use these shonks, complete rip off merchants.

Service Today recently replaced our unserviceable hot water service. We obtained other quotes and found them similar. Another company wanted full payment up front. Hence, we engaged Service Today who required a deposit followed by full payment on completion of the job. A technician attended our home the same day we made contact with Service Today and the new hot water appliance was installed the following day. We experienced no problems. The technician who quoted the job and hot water service installer were friendly, personable and conducted themselves in a professional manner. A job well done. Needed a new trap on shower outlet. $600+. Is that a fair price for the job.? I had to have it fixed so I guess that's why!!! Beware and don't rush in like I did. WOW.HOWEVER to their credit they were prepared to review the price and an amicable refund was offered and accepted. So now I review my initial review. Ridiculous price
Ridiculous price on a Ducted Air Conditioning jobI recently had a disappointing experience with Service Today and feel compelled to share my frustration. I called them to address inadequate air flow in tow of my bedrooms, that turned out to be a financial nightmare.
I had Daiken Air conditioner with 4 ducted zones.
To resolve the issue, they proposed me to install the AirTouch 5 system with 6 zones/sensors.
First and foremost, their pricing is absolutely outrageous. They charged a jaw-dropping $3225.53
(scope: Replace existing 4 ducted zones... Read more with 6 zones). Job No. 589885 The other supplier quoted me $2300 i.e. $900 less, for the same job. The job was just started and I called the sales guy, he said he can’t do anything and has to pay as agreed. I trusted these guys that they will give me fair pricing and they breached my trust. In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone considering Service Today for their services needs to look elsewhere. The combination of astronomical pricing and poor communication make this company an unfortunate choice for anyone seeking reliable and fair assistance. Save yourself the hassle and find a more reputable and customer-focused service.

Ben and Trent fixed my bathroom plumbing issues, quickly and effectively. They were lovely humans as well. Show replyBeware
- Plumbing work was done without a quote. The work was far more expensive than anticipated, and we were not warned of the costs before the work was done. Nevertheless, we paid for the work.- Further work was needed, and we asked for a quote. The quote was $36,000. Alternative plumbers later quoted $6000-$7000 for the same work, which was very simple (installing a new sewer pipe).
Be very careful, and make sure you get other quotes.

Had an issue of water leakage in evaporating cooling system ( small connected pipe was sprinkling water on roof) called service today there technician Tim came, was on time, changed the pipe of no charge at all as I was told it was serviced a month ago so there’s no charge, Timis very professional and polite. Excessive pricing
Arrived a day late. Got quoted 2.7k for a split system aircon install (back to back installation with iso switch and I supply the unit!!!). Also they didn't mention a $149 callout fee. Even after grudgingly paying their fee, and getting another provider to do the installation I'm more than 1k ahead. Unable to resolve but charged the quoted amount
Called out to find the block drain. Was quoted $770 to complete. Paid upfront but after trying to jet through, he the advised he didn’t have the equipment to unblock and left. No deduction for not completing the job, no solution just walked away!! Is it true you only issue refunds if the recipient agrees not to post a negative review or changes or removes a negative view they have already posted, or by agreeing not to post anything negative on any other site? A number of posters here have said they were offered refunds under these conditions. That appears to be illegal according to the ACCC website. Why would you do such a thing? Why not just give people a refund if they are entitled to it? Please don't reach out with a phone number. You can't defend the indefensible.
