Service sounded good on the phone, and the plumber was able to attend reasonably quickly, to check a leak in the laundry in out apartment. found - a leaking washing machine filler hose (can get for $19 at Bunnings). Quoted price to replace this was $550 (on top of the assessment fee). This seemed unbelievable to me, so I questioned it, and the price was then reduced to $350. Still a ridiculous price for a job that involves unscrewing one hose and screwing back another. Josh the plumber lied to me saying that this job needed legally to be done by a plumber, which I later found out was not true. I would not have gone ahead with this if he hadn't lied, or if I'd known the predatory pricing of this company. AVOID SERVICE TODAY, THEY LIE AND THEY HAVE EXTORTIONATE PRICING!!

We had an emergency plumbing situation with flooding and toxic waste. I hadn't used Service Today before but I'm so glad I did. It was a whole day job and the team came it in force to get it done. They were courteous and explained step by step what needed to be done. They left the work site clean and tidy and we now have a new underground pipe and no nasties to deal with. Mustafa and Brad did an excellent job at replacing our gutter, came early, had all the right equipment, were friendly, worked so hard for hours to complete the job to customer satisfaction. Today I had Daniel and Matthew come out and install a new Mitsubishi 8kw aircon and also clean Mum (86yrs) aircon. They were very professional, courteous and willing to answer my many questions while they worked. No mess was left and everything left in it's place. Very efficient online booking for tech to review/diagnose and recommend replacement; told about a week to wait for transport from Melbourne but contacted <24hrs later saying they had a unit and could could do today - four tradies arrived - disconnected old unit and replaced with new - very friendly and efficient crew - thank you very much - Dr. Paul Devenish-Meares Show reply

Great team of people came and assessed what the issue was, explained clearly what the issue was and what solutions were available. Had a new rainwater pump installed to my tank and a tap so I can utilise the water better. Happy with the installation looks neat and tidy. Very nice installer friendly and not intrusive. He explained the use of the tap for rainwater/mains water. Show reply
The cost to change one circut breaker $421.00 which is basically rip off, the guy said he took out the call out fee which is $120.00 , the total was $540.00 only when I said this is very expensive, it's terrible for the average person today,the guy that did the job were really good but the price is ridiculous expensive.I won't use this company again.Even my own electrician said it was very expensive.

Electrician was there 10 minutes and charged $600 for turning on 2 switches, as he said he had found the fault. Thankfully I called the manager who agreed they had not upheld their promise to not do any work without quoting. So we only paid the call out fee. The quote they provided was double what we had the work completed for. Would NOT USE THIS SERVIcE AGAIN EVER.

wanted the internal parts of my current toilet replaced knowing the toilet would be difficult to replace. I agreed and booked a time for him to do the work. A different plumber was sent instead.
1. The plumber dropped a part of my toilet. It was an accident. He glued it back together like a jigzaw puzzle. It looked terrible and unsatisfactory. I refused to be satisfied with this arrangenent. See the photo - would you be happy with this?
2, Poor customer service - The biggest reason I would not recommend services today is when there is a problem and I called the office, a Manager refused to speak to me to resolve the situation. The Manager kept indicating she would only speak to the plumber. I called the office 3 times. The reception staff on each occassion were nice and said they would escalate to a manager. Ist time - Manager wouldn't take the call, 2nd time, I was told the manager would speak to the plumber, 3rd time the Manager spoke briefly and hung up on me. I feel this was unsatifactory. In the end the toilet was replaced with a one I didn't choose and didn't match my bathroom. I was charged for the new toilet. A expensive and distressing experience. There is also deep scratches in my nonslip vinyl flooring where he was working.
Update. I have not been contacted to resolve the situation and it has been more than a week.
I would not recommend or use this company again.

that tree roots had broken into sewerage pipes and that a specialist team was required to do drilling to get rid of roots, then re sleeve the pipes. The team came the next day, led by Ben, and as they fixed one issue they discovered several more. The original estimate had to be amended up a couple of times, but all problems were fixed. The site was left like they were never there, and the team were terrific and very professional/friendly. The job was expensive, but had to be done. I highly recommend Service Today.

What made the experience even more frustrating was the amount of time it took to resolve the issue. My heating wasn't finally repaired until 20 July 2026, almost three weeks later.
To make matters worse, just three days later, on 23 July 2026, the heating stopped working again.
After paying over $1,100, I expected a reliable repair and much better service. Instead, I was left with the same problem, a large bill, and a great deal of inconvenience.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Service Today. I hope they improve their workmanship, communication, and quality control so other customers don't have to go through the same frustration.
Follow-up · What caused the delay was the fact that we had to wait for a capacitor and Gas flue fan to be replaced it. installation; details were explained to us, a choice was made and it was installed the next afternoon by Ave and Steve. They called ahead to advise when they would arrive and they were on time. The removal of the old heater and installation of the new heater was done smoothly and expertly. Details concerning operating the new heater were explained to us, it was all done efficiently by Ave and Steve with no problems.

Bad experience with Service Today! Avoid this if possible! – My hot water system broke down and had to call for a service. The person who came did not show any effort in fixing the system (basically he stood there with his tablet) and just said the whole system died without even checking it!! He's definitely more keen to sell the gas water system the company offers and get customers to purchase through them. Wasted my time and money (call out fee) and feeling deceived!!

I called ServiceToday as I had a blocked pipe that needed clearing as I couldn’t clear it myself given that I didn't have a flexible high pressure hose to do it. Very straight forward quick easy job. Plumber assured me that the more expensive way was the best way as it would clear any tree roots out that might be in the pipe and it would be a better fix. I told him that there would be no roots in the pipe as there has never been any trees planted in this location. Since I had to go to an appointment shortly and this water was blocking up in my sink, I said to the go ahead and put the hose up it. The job from start to finish took 30 minutes. What a total rip off with your charges. I have since spoken to 2 other plumbing companies and they both said it should of cost no more than $450 max. I will never use you again nor will I ever recommend you to any family or friends.
