Shadowhawk LED Torch Rechargeable

The torch arrived in a cardboard box, other than the plastic sleeve covering the case there was no other packing, although that was not needed because the plastic case provided very good protection for the torch. It came with it's main rechargeable… Read more
3.7 volt 5000 Ah 26650 battery, a sleeve to fit the more popular lower capacity 18650 battery and a holder for three AAA battery cells as well as three AAA alkaline cells. A USB A to C charging lead is included.
Fitting the battery is easy and I put it on charge as directed before first use. It seems to be an extremely well made product. It has a solid feel with a weight including battery and strap of 365 grams a length of 172 mm, body diameter 35mm and a head diameter of 49mm.
It has a single push button switch that can scroll from high, medium and low ten to strobe and then SOS and off. Holding down the switch for 3 seconds from any function will turn it off.
A good feature is the amount of charge indicated by an LED display just avove the on-off switch. Because it is only a 3.7 volt battery, charging is quicker than many torches compared to those that use a higher voltage as an internal inverter is not required for battery charging. Charging is via a USB C input and there is a USB A output.
The light output is extreemly good with an ajustable beam from narrow to wide. It's claimed maxium light output is 30,000 lumens.
I certainly can recommend a Shadowhawk S1695 for those people who want a powerfull and compact rechargable torch.
Follow-up · I have not tested the total running time of the battery because it has a % of charge LED above the on-off switch, if battry life is important, there is 3 light output settings so a lower output will mean greater battery life. Overall considering it's high light output I think the running time is very good. The adjustable beam is fantastic from a… Read more
Excellent value – For the money, unbeatable. The battery alone is worth $30, even if it is a chinese cheapie. The build quality is very good and a good set of extras with the torch. Do not charge the battery in the torch. Use a dedicated 26650 charger as it will provide a safe voltage and current (I use a twin Nitecore unit). Even on high, the torch never gets hot. Incredible focussed beam and good spread on wide. Show details
Overheating – Bought the Shadowhawk 20000, Lumens XHM77.2. Love the torch but on the first use, it overheated very badly and am not able to use for safety reasons. Amazon would not replace, only refund. To buy another will now cost me $10 more. Show details
