$129 so i put a cheap $15 good brand pump on it from ebay this cheap pump has out lastest there garbage silvan pump 100 fold the silvan pump has a gasket around the pump bearing its designed to wear out so you have to replace the pump the cheap ebay pump does not have that gasket so it will last much longer
Redline trolly sprayer – Great little sprayer for small jobs where I can’t get in with the bigger sprayer. I get 3 uses out of it before I need to recharge. The internal measuring cup is a plus. Issues I have had are, firstly the screws holding it together vibrate loose. I have lost a few which I have had to replace. I have had to use lock tight glue to stop this… Read more
continually happening because they kept coming out. Secondly, the pump doesn’t last it’s the second one I’m replacing now which is a nuisance and they are not cheap at $149 which is half the cost of a new unit. I have only had the unit for about 2 years. Thirdly, there is always about a third of the tank left in the sprayer before it stops spraying and I have to refill. When working it does the job.
Piece of rubbish – Bought this about two years ago. In the first three months the pump failed and needed replacing. in the next six months the tank cracked( repaired it)In the next six months it was not used. The hose connector has failed and will need replacing. Not worth the time or cost. Would not recommend it to anyone Show details
Very poor design – Washers holding wheels on rust and fall apart easily. Would be better with stainless washers & circlips. Have had 2 motors die after 2 years of moderate use. Show details
Second silvan product i've purchased that failed after 12 months – Tank split at trolley connection screws. Leaks bad, can't get a replacement tank. Less than 12months old. Rubbish product! Spend the extra and get a better product. Their fogger is also rubbish. Show details
Unit looks the part but not well designed – The unit works ok until about one third of tank left, it then draws air if you are walking and spraying, the pickup is located at the wrong end of the tank. If you rest the handle on the hook and pull the unit along it falls down and jams under the front of the tank. I have had this for six months and the hose has gone quite hard making it difficult to roll up. Not good value for the price. Show details
Good unit, works well held back by design problems – The spraying works great as does the charging and number of tanks per battery charge as well as the drain plug. Use it to spray more than 300L this year so far and all is good in the spraying department. Problems I have found; On a slope and below 1/2 tank it fell over because the wheelbase was too narrow. Any hole and the wheels drop into it and… Read more
it wants to fall over on its side. Good on flat ground, not good on a hill or where there are grass tufts or Bandicoot holes.
To overcome this I replaced the wheels with ones from a golf bag trolley same diameter but three times as wide and spaced out wider, so now it doesn't fall over near as much until you hang the hose in loops on the handle when tank is low, then it falls over. Spends more time on its face than a front row forward.
The hose catches on the silly front skid of the trolley and you are always having to untangle it so I changed it to a loop, maybe if I change the skid to a double loop, horizontal and vertical it might not take a header as often and spill the poison unless the top cap is wrenched up super tight
Pickup in tank sucks air when tank is low, either on a slope or pulling by the handle, as the front lifts when you pick it up unless you are a short person or going uphill. It needs a different pickup not a cylindrical one but a flat one.
Great product. Poor support – Purchased this trolley 12 months ago and what a great machine. Added to the stable of other Silvan products. We have used it around 2-3 times a week with all sorts of chemistry and it just keeps on chugging! Charge times are to spec. Run times are to spec. It can get wet. Easy to drain and clean and great big wheels that go nearly anywhere.… Read more
Awesome for our needs. A few months ago, we had to replace the lance, some o-rings, the hose nut and the 6m hose due to wear and tear (surprised it lasted as long as it did). This is where the **** hit the fan. Couldn’t find a spare parts list in the manual or on the website, and when I finally got one from Silvan (kicking and screaming), it didn’t make sense. Sat down at Bunnings with one of the girls from special orders and we eventually sorted the part numbers and ordered the required parts. Overall, great product but ordinary support. Silvan Australia needs to lift its game! Get the parts lists on your website!!!
