If I try another application it will not allow me to apply or withdraw. No-one at Snug cares, they are making a lot of money and don't have to even think about the people they are making homeless.

Snug is one of the worst websites I've had the misfortune of using, in general. Used it as a rental applicant. Snug is buggy, and often displays errors: sometimes the upload box will simply disappear on you, requiring you to refresh the application page, losing everything else you've put in; sometimes, a drop-down will simply inform you the code… Read more

Snug will sometimes ask for tedious doubling up, like wanting rental ledgers both in the 'Other Documents', yet also to re-upload it to attach to each property you've ever lived in - or by asking you to fill in your current address details in the application, and also on your profile. It features a pointless 'match metric' that seems to only care that there's more information, not what that information actually is.
The amount of extra stress this has added to my application for a potential home has ensured I will simply not apply with anywhere that uses Snug as their application method. If it isn't redoing applications because the site's bugged, it's being spammed emails. Even my landlord was being pestered by them. Don't trust any good reviews you see of this enterprise.
If you are a real estate company, or a private rental provider, I would strongly recommend avoiding Snug - you will miss out on good tenants who simply will not jump through the hoops this site requires that others simply don't. Other rental application sites are simply more competent and less invasive than Snug. One star because I cannot give it any lower.

Snug made the rental process fast and organised. Creating one profile and applying to multiple properties saved time, and uploading documents was straightforward. The only downside is some agencies don’t actively use Snug, so it’s worth confirming. Overall, it’s convenient, user friendly and helped streamline my rental search.

The UI does not allow you to edit your employment history. I.e. if you made a mistake, or want to "end" the job (that says it is still 'current'), good luck. You have to 'remove' that employment, then 'add' a new one and fill it out all over again. No 'edit' button!

Forced to apply through this app, problems with logging in and customer support is slow and served with attitude. To make matters worse, Snug have now sold my data to service providers and Im now being hounded with calls to my mobile.

First time renting in a long time. Being a sole trader i found there was no options for us. I ended up having to adjust private info on invoices and show the corresponding payments into bank to prove my income. Overall once all uploaded it was great way to apply for properties. Very easy to use and understand, website was relatively easy to navigate on the laptop, the iPhone is not recommended as it’s a little trickier and the site crashed for me, luckily it saved all the inputted data.

I had a really positive experience with Snug. Especially being a first time renter. I found it very user friendly and easy to navigate which is helpful being that little bit older! 5 Stars.

B) The application process felt unnecessarily intrusive. Compared to other platforms (like Realestate.com or AgentBox), there were a lot more questions that didn’t seem relevant.
C) The web portal stopped working after I accepted the property. It might be because the agent updated the move-in date and lease length, but now all I see is a blank white page when trying to access my application from the dashboard or even the direct email links.
D) Live chat support needs serious improvement. I’m overseas and inspected the property virtually (via FaceTime). The system, however, required me to mark that I’d physically inspected it through Snug’s inspection register, otherwise I couldn’t apply—even though I’d clearly noted the physical inspection in my application. Understand this is most likely a setting on the agent’s side, however there was an easy work around (add me to the scheduled inspection after the fact). Support wasn’t helpful at all—I had to troubleshoot the issue myself, find a workaround, and then explain it back to the property manager. This really comes down to better training for Snug’s support staff and stronger product awareness for the agents using the platform

I still have questions about the security and maintenance of large amounts of personal data on rental tenancy databases with regard to all the personal information collected by this organization e.g. passports, Medicare cards, drivers license, banking details, previous addresses, email addresses and phone numbers etc etc but the company representative has highlighted a few privacy policies and data retention procedures that Snug use that possibly their competitors don't, so will investigate further and update my review accordingly.
My screenshot markups in yellow above and example only of a typical user generated autofill error. To their credit Snug did investigate this issue and attempted to contact me quickly to understand what the issue was. The company seems serious about data retention and protection and privacy issues - unlike its competitor who is more difficult and unresponsive to get in touch with.
As some other reviewers on here have highlighted, sometimes when information or circumstances change its necessary to delete a subset of your data, and re-enter a section of new information even if its something trivial like a typo or something new like a new drivers license number, a new job, or a change of email address of a referee. Although a little time consuming and not ideal, its probably best as it gives users time to review and pick up other errors that may have inadvertently been entered.
Login password ease of use and execution of "Login with Google" on Snug is actually reliable and stable - unlike their main competitor. I only used Snug on Windows PC in Edge browser so cannot make any broader statements about use on other browsers or indeed on other Android or Apple devices.
I had such a great experience using Snug! Before signing up, I’d been applying for rentals through other websites without much luck. Snug actually helped me build a much stronger profile through including questions I hadn’t even come across on the other websites, I also found it much more user-friendly. I was accepted for the very first rental I applied for through Snug!
