I purchased this for my 2 British Bulldogs, whilst there is enough room in each kennel for them, I’m disappointed with the quality of the wood, especially the verandah and grey fence trim, it’s very flimsy and a soft wood. The structure of it is poor, and the timber on the dog house really isn’t that much better. For the price I paid I expected better quality. The roof however is great, and waterproof. , my 2 English Bulldogs weigh 25 and 27kg so just over 50kg combined weight, and the porch is not firm enough that I am comfortable to let them both walk on it together to get to their kennels. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone with a large dog Especially the porch, It’s a shame because I was so excited to put it together for my dogs, and now I wish I’d not purchased it at all..

Too expensive for what you get – Very poor quality we can’t see it lasting very long at all. You will have to put a lining of some sort on the inside there would be a terrible draft and snakes bugs etc. Very flimsy would be ok if it was a lot cheaper but they cost a fortune. Nice a big though that’s a positive and looks good from a distance

Sommerzby XXL Kennel – Extremely bad quality product Wood very flimsy, and started to fall apart after 3 months. Funny thing is my dogs won't even sit in it and that's not the first review I've read like that. Has a smell about it, maybe they sense it. Customer service wouldn't do anything about it Never buy again!!

Great Kennel – My dog's new kennel is seriously awesome! They're totally loving it, and I can tell they're happy and comfy in there. Now, I don't even feel bad about not letting them inside on cold nights. Thanks to Somerzby, we've got this sweet setup. I'll take some photos - it's too cool not to share! The kennels are made from Chinese Fir timber, which is known for being durable and long-lasting. When assembled correctly, the structure is designed to be sturdy and suitable for 2 large dogs.

It’s worth noting that if the kennel were constructed from a much heavier hardwood, it would significantly increase both the product price and delivery costs. We believe Chinese Fir provides a good balance between durability, practicality, sustainability, and affordability.
