You get what you pay for. Basically they are crap – Bought two of these from JB Hi-Fi Online Store for $299.00 in 2018. One lasted 18 months before picture turned red then no picture then wouldn't even turn on. The other one we still have a picture but the sound, which was never that good anyway, died. So they seem to last their warranty then die. In retrospect putting $600 towards one better more reliable TV is a smarter choice. Show details
Cheap and a bit nasty – Good: Very cheap at $200. Satisfactory picture, hasn't stopped working...yet. PVR for recording. Woefully imperfect but good enough for $200. Bad: Hilarious ill fitting bowed top edge emits slither of white light and is a constant reminder of my failings in life. Tinny sound. Illegible program info font. HD programs look good but standard… Read more
definition is very blocky, maybe encoder sux but not sure. And yeah, shuts down and restarts regularly when changing stations for no particular reason. PVR files are encrypted so can't watch files elsewhere. The SBS and ABC app versions that work on this tv are old and severely crippled, missing most shows. Anyway, Would not trust this tv on my network as it's a security risk, receives no update support and OS is a mystery. Use a chromecast instead.
Size is good. What you pay is what you get – Was told that i could download apps, not so. Not a smart tv. Came with freeview and youtube app is all. Wifi a bonus. It also had some black striations on the right hand side. No wonder it is discontinued. Son now has it for gaming purposes. Show details
great value, good features – i use this as a 3rd monitor for my pc, the freeview is a great feature for when i am am at a spare moment, i can easily watch some catch up. The screen quality is great and audio is good (better than expected)
40 INCH FLAT SCREEN FOR |$249 No Brainer – This 40 inch led flat screen is insane for the price. $249 from any POST OFFICE! :-) You won't find better for that price. Hurry up as they no longer make this model. If you want a larger screen, Soniq also offers a 50 inch for $349. A 60 inch for $449. All F series models are deleted. But if you look far enough you can still pick up these ridiculous price tv's for bugger all cash. 5/5. Regards Carl Meller. Show details
Good picture, light weight – Bought this on the Amazon Prime Day sales for $199 delivered as a cheap TV for our bedroom. I wasn't expecting much for the price, as it is not a Smart TV. Taking it out of the box I did notice how flimsy it was as it twisted easily. Set up was quick as it scanned the channels. Picture was OK. The sound was horrible. My MacBook has better sounding… Read more
speakers. Soniq actually have a brochure in the box advertising their soundbar, but honestly with the quality of the TV, why would I buy a soundbar from Soniq? Luckily Amazon had a sale on Yamaha Soundbars for $165, so I got one. It won't connect through HDMI, so I had to connect it with optical cable, meaning a separate remote. Discontinued now...maybe the new model has better sound?
Good tv – Good for money value for smart TV, till now it works very good the sound and picture quality are good as well as the other applications are working really good my daughter enjoying watching her favorite animation on it. Show details
Warning – this is a smart TV and appears very good at first. Everything works without fault, it has port that work and connects to the internet via Wifi BUT don't buy this brand looks good new but will not last 8months. very fragile. buy a decent brand tv that will not break. warning warning do yourself a favour, dont take the risk Show details
Does the job very basic and sound is weird – I'm happy with purchase, it is a basic LED tv, graphics are good but lack lustre so its not great for realistic gaming that boast awesome graphics eg. God of War 4. The sound is odd, echo like, but its been a few months now and we are used to it. Its fast to start, performance is good, enough ports etc. Its a cheap buy so I can't expect it to… Read more
be too flash for $299 so it will do us until we can afford something better in the future.
It is not a smart tv, more a computer screen with a couple of apps. I have a ps4 so I dont use the "smart" apps on tv at all.
Garbage, don't buy this – Sold as a smart TV by JB-HIFI, this TV is nothing more than a non-smart TV that can handle freeview and youtube. NO extra applications, DLNA support, nothing. second time I've been duped into buying a terrible SONIQ tv from JB-HIFI. will never happen again, regardless of how 'misleading' the sales staff get. You get what you pay for – The tv definitely matches the price point. I bought it on sale at JB Hi-FI for $299. The display is certainly good enough for regular movie watching, but the sound is shocking. You will want to plug in your own sound bar or speakers. For the price though, it meets expectations. All I can say is Lemon – Since buying the tv, every time you start changing the channels it will turn itself off and then on again. Also there was a bow in the top and some light was shining down. Cheap tv but shouldn't do that. Expected to drag it back in for warranty also. Will be going in the bin and will never buy Soniq again. Show details
