Low cost, but not reliable – I purchased 5 of these TVs to use as menu screens in a restaurant. The TVs are on 12 hours a day so it is not your typical home environment, but it serves as a useful accelerated reliability test. Two of these units failed in the same way within 8 months. Menu selections randomly appear on the screens and one of them randomly turns itself on… Read more

and off.

They were only $300 to buy, but I don't think they were good value. I would rather pay $600 and get 3 years of use.

The picture is great but, as with most of these smaller flat screen TVs, the sound is poor, .

I had no issues with JB HiFi. I didn't bother with warranty claims since the TVs were being used commercially.

Is a great gaming tv – When it comes to my TVs I'm always looking for something that will be great for gaming and movies. The positives to this tv is that It was cheap and provided a massive screen (beats most of its competitors when it comes down to $ vs Size, in saying this the quality of the picture is ok it tends to be a bit hard to read when there are dark images… Read more

on the screen but for the most it is great. The audio quality is great nice and loud and have got no complaints. This tv is a great value for money 2 thumbs up.

Good Spare Room TV – I called this a good spare room TV because, although I like it, I am glad its not our main set. The picture is good but if you compare it directly with a Sony you can immediately see the dullness and colour separation are different. The overall design is good and the remote although a bit cheap looking, works fine. One area thats not good is the sound, so we have external speakers connected up. Its a good second TV and works well  Show details

Great product at an affordable price – You get what you pay for with this TV. For me, a young person living out of home, it's a great product. I can't fault anything on it. The display is nice and clear. The sound quality is good. The size is very good. You could probably get better products at a higher price, but if you're not too fussed about having a state of the art home cinema experience, this TV is good.  Show details

Not bad! – We bought this tv for our sitting room and it has been a good little tv. Picture quality is fine as is the sound. We only bought it for simply watching tv, so we didn't want the features more expensive tvs have such as smart tv. Colour has been off on a few channels but can easily adjust that.  Show details

Amazing TV for the price – Bought one for $299.00 on special, couldn't be happier for that money, the sound was a bit tinny but changing some of the settings seemed to fix that. Blu rays and HD TV look really good on it. Very happy with it and would defiantly recommend it for someone who just a reliable TV without a huge price tag.  Show details

You get what you pay for – This tv is nothing impressive. Its picture quality is nothing to complain about. Its resolution is 1366x768p, but can output 1080p, for gaming or movie watching for example. The audio gets quite loud and serves me well. It has multiple HDMI ports and a USB port. This tv is good for bedrooms and small rooms, but probably not the main living room.… Read more

The tv is basic overall and the quality is expected for the price. Nothing is bad about it, but it doesn't excel at anything either.

Display looks too washed out – Colors look grey and washed out no matter what settings you use, Speakers are decent but could be better, Not sure if it is real 4K but plays 1080p Movies very well, Display - 6/10 Speakers - 6/10 Comes with 2 HDMI cables, OS is useless might as well get an Apple TV to go with it.  Show details

Does everything for the price – I am happy with the picture quality. It has a native resolution of 1366x768p but does also output 1080p. I have had the product for more than 10 months and use it often. I use it with streaming netflix, playing PS4 and Browsing on the computer and it serves well for all of these uses. The speakers serve fine for movies, tv shows and gaming. They… Read more

can get very loud, but don't have too much depth/base to them. The tv has 3 HDMI ports, a VGA port and USB ports. It is a good price for the size. Only thing I don't like is the start up sound is loud when turning on, but might be able to be turned off in settings.

Nice for its price – A good quality TV, HDMI and enough inputs to do what you want. EPG and all the standards you would expect a modern TV to have, and it's a decent price too. We had to return the first one due to it making a high pitched ringing sound (most likely Coil Whine) when turned on, second one has the same issue but not as bad, I worry about how long it will last but it's held up for a few months now of occasional use as a 2nd PC monitor.  Show details

Excellent picture quality for a reasonable price – It would be better to describe the picture quality in hertz(refresh rate) but as I don't have that specs I can say its superb based in the fact when you watch sports you don't see the players shadows lagging/running behind. That tells you its good quality. 2 years and still going strong.  Show details

Great TV! – Overall I'm really satisfied with my Soniq TV. It has great picture quality, more than enough ports to fit my needs and considering the price I managed to pick it up at, is an absolute bargain. The only small gripe I have with the TV is the sound from the inbuilt speakers is a little soft and dull but that's easily fixed with a sound bar.  Show details

Avoid! Unsatisfactory, Poor Leg Design & Lack of Grip Contributed to TV Broken in < 2 weeks – My family was extremely excited when we could finally afford to purchase a flat screen television. After substantial research we opted for the Soniq 32" as advertised at JB Hi-Fi. Big mistake as we had only had the enjoyment of the device for near on two [2] weeks when it broke due to what we consider to be the contribution of poorly designed… Read more

feet & weakness in the legs. The television has two feet that bolt into the base of the screen & then split into two directions. Contrary to first impressions these legs are not solid & are in fact hollow leaving only a thin piece of plastic on either side for support. You would think that the entire base of these feet would be coated in slip proof rubber to provide suitable grip but this is not the case either. At best it seems that a tiny round spot of rubber is up inside the tip of the plastic hollow leg but this is not sticky & insufficient in size to allow for stability & grip. Unfortunately we found out the hard way when we went to move the television forward slightly so as to plug in a HDMI cable into the back. We had the television located on a large solid wooden & steel wall unit with ample space around it & nothing touching or interfering with its proximity. My husband was being suitable careful. What we didn't expect was that these cheap plastic hollow feet are very slippery & created without the benefit of total rubber grips. Needless to say even with just a slight movement being made with two hands the television slipped forward and landed face down. This did not get knocked hard and the screen didn't break, in fact didn't even have a scratch - despite this the television has since had half the screen pixelating in effect rendering the television completely useless.

If we had been acting incorrectly we would say so. But we didn't. Consumers should be able to move furniture trusting in the company to have produced a product that won't collapse at the slightest touch. However we have no doubt that these thin, cheap, plastic feet that totally without sufficient rubber grip are to blame and wish to warn others of this flaw in the Soniq 32" design.

We intend to feedback our concerns to the company directly but do not hold out any hope or expectation that they will generously replace our item. Meanwhile dear consumers, please be aware of this concern and we hope that it helps when factoring into your decision on which electronics company to buy from. Thank you for reading this review, we hope that it is beneficial.

Perfect for the Price – I purchased the 42'' Soniq for a temporary TV for when we moved so we had a tele but didn't spend to much, it turned to be very good and was used as a gift, when we saw the 43" become available it was the perfect size for the games room. It runs the Wii, exercise DVDs and a back up TV. It has a very good picture for the price and we are very happy… Read more

with the way it works. Tuning and set up is simple, depending on what size you want for your main TV I would even recommend it for that. Well done Soniq.

Good quality low price – I bought this as my main tv mostly for watching dvds. It's very good value for money and user friendly. I haven't needed the instructions because it was self-explanatory which makes a nice change from some other brands which seem to thrive on confusion. Comes with a decent remote with large size buttons making it less likely to hit the wtong one. Overall very good.  Show details

Great quality TV, 1 minor problem – The picture quality of this tv is great, especially for the size. This item was bought on sale at JB Hi-Fi just under $300 so I think it's a great value. The only problem is with the remote, It's quite difficult to turn on/off, although that may be because it has fallen/it needs new batteries. Good product!  Show details

Best value for money for a FULL HD TV – Bought this TV from JBHIFI 6month ago for $389. Full HD 1080 with 3 hdmi and a usb media playback. The usb playback is very easy to use on the remote. It Play most of the video format so far. Picture quality is excellent compare to other brand in same size. But you pay alot more with other big brand. The Tv is light and sleek design. thing i found is letting it down is sometimes the initial staring time when turning the tv on can take a few seconds longer compare to other TV. But still this is the best value TV you can get with quality and price.

Great, basic TV for the price – I picked this up in November 2016 for just under $200 and it's fantastic value for the price. The picture quality is good and there are enough ports to plug devices in. As expected for the price, the features on this Tv are minimal. There is a sleep timer but even after reading the manual a few times, I've still yet to work out how to set the… Read more

timer for the tv to come on.

The major downside is the speaker quality. I find I have to have the volume rifgt up to hear anything and due to that the speakers are now getting a fuzzy sound.

Obviously not a luxury television with all the mod cons but it's worth the price.

Very good TV – Very much happy with this TV. I got it under 300 AUD from JB HIFI on promotion sale to replace my old 21 inch tv. I wasn't expecting much from it but it has competitively most of the good features which commonly asked for. Just bought MI BOX to update my TV to smart one. Now i dont feel of buying the expensive one since i am happy with this completely.  Show details

Basic but good product – I've had the TV for 9 months and it's working perfectly, good picture and sound. My only complaint would be that the Instruction Manual is next to useless as far as the operational explanations go. It provides a diagram of the remote control with a list of the buttons functions, which can be ascertained by looking at the remote! An online… Read more
