A recall imminent Sony – Rubber on product PlayStation PS4 VR Headset flakes, causing a safety hazard for eyes, inhaling through the nose and even choking hazard for children. Rubber surfaces starts to flake and creates an unacceptable mess. Product been used infrequent and not exposed to any heat, sun or moisture. Rubber starts becoming hard and crack. A fine dust residue is left behind sticking to skin. When touching the rubber it disintegrates into a mess.
omg this is INSANE !!!!! – bought this VR headset for my husband for Christmas 2019 - WOW - I cant believe how AWESOME it is and how realistic it is - I must say ,m I played for the most bit and cant put the thing down :)
OMG it's brilliant! – I can't wait for more vr games to come on the market. I honestly thought it would be pretty lame and require imagination for any effect. Wow, was I wrong! It truly does feel like you're in the game. One time I nearly fell over when I had to walk along a ledge. It's absolutely amazing.
Fantastic experience for the PlayStation – I have had my PS VR for 2 months now, it came bundled with a few games and I must say wow an experience to enjoy. Though I do recommend this to people, its up to each individual to actually try it out for themselves Now the headset, very comfy to use and a few mechanisms to mod the head unit to you face so its snug, it comes with a built in microphone and has a jack to place earbuds for sound. It does actually grip you and immerse you into the game but I did find that though its fantastic, I could only handle short bursts of time. The visual display was adequate and microphone worked great in game chat. The sound quality was great so no complaints at all
The games work great - Skyrim VR and a few others and it was literally a great experience, VR worlds was really enjoyable
As I stated I do recommend this for anyone with a PlayStation but try it out and determine for yourselves
The future is now! – My wife bought me a PlayStation VR bundle for Christmas and I've had the pleasure of using it pretty solidly for the past few weeks. I'd have to say this is my first real "VR" experience of any kind, but I was utterly blown away. I honestly felt like I could reach out and touch things and was surprised when turning around and looking up and down, that I really was in a 360degree gaming world. I haven't been this taken aback since upgrading my N64 to a PS2 back in the day.
However, there are a few notes I would make. This technology is definitely in it's infancy. The resolution is quite low causing lots of pixelation. Having to watch your feet because of the tether going to the headset can be frustrating at times, and the headset in general didn't ever quite fit my tiny head. It would take time to adjust to get the right focus while trying to get a seal around my eyes to bloke the light coming in. I also found the lenses would get oily and fog up quite a lot, mostly just a slight inconvenience.
I would love to see what the Oculus and Vive are like after having played this, as I think a few of these issues might be resolved to a degree. Mostly dude to the hardware constants of the PS4.
Overall I think you can't beat the price point when compared to Oculus and Vive, and this definitely feel like the future of gaming to me. Can't wait to see how it develops over the next 10yrs or so. Worth a purchase.
