Does anyone know the specs of the ac adaptor for this unit I am trying to get a replacement ac adaptor for my XDR-DS12iP . Can't find where I can get one . Appreciate if someone could pass me the specs of the ac adaptor please. Thanks

The display on the clock has stopped working , I have changed battery to no avail. Any suggestion So?
If still under warranty, then return it to the store. If not, then it's probably not worth trying to get fixed since the display is no doubt more expensive to source (proprietary Sony item) and replace (fiddly) than buying a new digital radio/clock. If it's out of warranty, then there's no doubt more digital clock/digital radio choices now and better prices.
However, before tossing it out, or passing it on to someone who's happy with a 'blind' clock/radio, my only other suggestion is to give it a gentle thump all over, then a few sharp taps with a wooden spoon or whatever's handy - something that's unlikely to mark the case. If there's a loose connector or a dry solder joint on a circuit board, this might revive it without delving into its internals - opening up a mains-powered device isn't advisable unless you know what you're doing.
does it charge and run without mains power?
Away from home at the moment. My recollection is that it needs AC power.

Have there been any problems reported of the dual alarm setting switching itself off so the alarm then fails to work? This has happened to me 3 times now. the first 2 times I thought someone may have accidently turned it off, but last night I specifically checked it before going to bed, and turned off alarm B leaving only Alarm A on (weekdays). This was at approx 3.30am & the alarm A that was set for 6.50am failed to come on. When I checked the display, alarm A was no longer showing as being set.
I have had no experience with the alarms n this radio as I have never had the use for it. If you like I'll try it out and see what happens and get back to you.
