Sorbent Thick & Large Tissues

garbage nasty tissues i hate how some brands make it so that you have to keep putting your fingers inside the tissue box because the next tissue keeps falling back inside the box which p*sses me the hell off

Have been a fan in the past but the newest tissues have declined in quality. The tissues disintegrate quickly and I am constantly picking up discarded pieces. Fortunately there is another tissue that is of much higher quality and cheaper too. (Quinton Extra Thick).

Now THIN and SMALL – UPDATE: It's now August 2025 and these tissues have appeared back on the Woolworths shelves and have IMPROVED to their original size and thickness. These tissues *were* the best - I've been buying them for years - but the new design is a disaster! You could now label them 'THIN and SMALL' as the thickness and the size have changed out of all recognition. They fall apart in your hands and stick to your fingers. As a very satisfied customer for years I am beyond disappointed and won't be buying again unless they revert to the old formula. Oh and the newly-designed aperture tears the tissues as you pull them out - altogether a disaster! Please, please can we have the old ones back?

Franjapani – Purchased because the box was so pretty and to my delight the perfume is just gorgeous. Sadly it was a once off wonder as I have not been able to get the 95 tissue boxes again. I have just read multiple reviews and agree wholeheartedly that your new "plastic free" opening is a complete failure, as its not possible to remove tissues with them tearing into little pieces. Have been a user of Sorbent tissues for more than sixty years! As they say it can take a long time to find new customers however, if can take minutes to loose them.

Trying to get a tissue out of the box without ripping it to shreds is impossible. Will never buy this brand again, more tissues went straight into the bin than were used. Show details

Who ever signed off on the box opening design should be sacked, always tears tissues in half and very hard to get one tissue without more coming out !! Or was it done so you have to buy more when half box wasted from stuffing them back into the box , just to save a few cents on not putting plastic in dispensing hole in the name of being "environmental" totally ridiculous. well I buy Kleenex now so not my problem!! Show details

I have used Sorbent Thick and Large tissues in preference to other brands for years. I will no longer be purchasing them as I found another brand which is cheaper, comparable quality and the box works. The design is also ugly. That brand is sold by Aldi and is a 3 ply tissue. I have used Sorbent tissues for years preferring them to any others. I will not be purchaseing the recent product due to the fact that I ended up with white flecks all over my clothes after accidently leaving a tissue in a pocket when laundering. Also I find it nearly impossible to open the box without tearing it and also to extract more than one tissue at a time. Suncerely Joy

Love the product , what I don't love is the box design. Tissues get torn and ripped when pulling them out out of the box opening. While I'm all for reducing plastics in products, this box design is useless and costing the consumer money. Show details

Terrible design for the opening on the new boxes. It tears tissues as you pull them out. Back to the oval opening please. I got around it by cutting off the sharp edges of cardboard. Show details

The current opening for the tissues where you have to make the sides of the opening at the top fold out rips the tissues and makes them unusable. The previous oval opening was much better. Please change back to the old cardboard oval opening. M

removing all the tissues and putting them back into an old box with a plastic film dispenser. The box label suggests that Sorbent is environmentally motivated. I’d suggest that the packaging change is more to do with saving a fraction of a cent on each box. I'll try to find a different brand.

Sorbent Thick & Large Tissues – Sorbent Thick & Large Tissues what a disgrace. After years I have just purchased my last box. The box is what did it ! Who ever designed the new no plastic box in Australia should be sacked. The fact they are made in China now is another negative. Shame on you.

Ridiculous and useless box design – The box says it is designed in Australia so somebody local should be listening. The latest box design is bizarre. The only way I can get the tissues out without tearing is to cut off all the weird little bits of cardboard. And while I'm on the subject, what happened to the large Velvet tissues which withstood the worst hayfever without mishap. Well, sadly, Kleenex here I come. Show details

useless box rips all tissues – Tissues are great box is a COMPLETE DISASTER! NO SOFT EDGING TO ALLOW TISSUES TO BE REMOVED IN ONE PIECE! Poor redesign of tissue box opening means an end to buying these after years of doing so – Like others here I have been buying these for years and happy with them but the new box opening design just shreds the tissues making them useless to use and like others, I will also be moving to a different brand until they return to a more sensible design. Not made in Australia anymore – Disappointed to see that these tissues are no longer made in Australia (they are now made in China). It seems that the quality of the product has gone downhill.

From best to worst – These were the best tissues ever until the idea of removing the plastic dispenser flap. The new designs tear tissues ans produce tissue particles as you're dispensing. Could Sorbent get it more wrong – I have bought Sorbent Thick & Large Tissues for years. They were strong, soft, reliable & great size - they were fantastic - 10 out of 10. The new ones are an absolute joke. If you are unfortunate enough to have to blow your nose you are in for a surprise, with one blow or wipe the tissue is history, it does a Houdini & morphs into something completely alien & unfit for use. To add insult to injury the tissues are smaller, thinner, rougher than the previous ones, crumble, disintegrate, rip, leave confetti bits of tissue on your face, nose, fingers & floor & a dust deposit around the box. Interestingly it states on the box (these are) 50% larger than regular Sorbent tissues - now that is a worry, how much have they reduced the size of their regular tissues by?
