have discovered that a patient can insist on being taken to a a South Coast Radiology location instead. SCR bulk bill inpatients including if you go from a different hospital. There is no doubt that they are the best. The very best. Thank you to their wonderful staff and congratulations on delivering excellent service.

Reception. My first connection. Maddi Always giving a smile of recognition, even if on thei phone or attending to another patients. Remembers my name, is so welcoming, patient, understanding & professional. Ruby is an integral part of that process & presents in the same manner. It makes your initial contact & the waiting time so much more calming & less anxious. Moving onto the actual procedures. A big shout out to Sonographers Susie & Carol. Wow not only an incredible team, but the knowledge, the interest, their enthusiasm & perseverance to investigate, & identify what they come across during the screening was outstanding. I realise one of them was in her final days of training, but the connection, communication & importantly my care was extraordinary. SCR is incredibly fortunate to have all 4 people working for & with them

X-rays and an ultrasound to monitor some long-term injuries. Despite having records of these injuries with Qscan South Coast Radiology said there is no injuries on the Xray and ultra sound results.

Later, when my doctor recommended a simple review of the X-rays and ultrasound, I rang South Coast Radiology and was assured there would be no cost and that they could access my previous scans directly from Qscan. However, when I arrived at the Runaway Bay location, the receptionist immediately began pressuring me to get additional, unnecessary X-rays and ultrasounds. Her attempts to upsell these services were uncalled for, and I felt gaslighted as she dismissed my concerns about the lost injuries and kept insisting on new scans. She eventually tried to call my doctor to try to confirm the instructions, which were clearly stated on the referral form as a “comparison” rather than new imaging, I had to point this out to her supervisor.

When I asked to file a formal complaint about the receptionist's gaslighting behaviour, a supervisor—a larger woman with red hair—took over but was equally dismissive. She didn’t even look over the referral properly and instead tried to shift the blame onto my doctor, claiming he could have simply phoned them she said its your doctors fault he could have phoned us to do this, this shows staff here have absolutely zero accountability .

Finally, after all of this, my doctor confirmed that the review was never conducted, despite South Coast Radiology’s assurances. I have now had my time wasted on three separate occasions: first by a non-existent appointment, second by lost records, and third by a promised review that wasn’t even done.

In contrast, Qscan has consistently provided a much more professional service—efficient, respectful staff, and no attempts to push unnecessary procedures. I strongly recommend Qscan over South Coast Radiology to anyone needing dependable imaging services.

Overall, I do not recommend South Coast Radiology and will be escalating this to the ombudsman.

A Practice in Unfunny Irony – They instruct patients to arrive 15 minutes early without telling them (assuming people can’t manage their own time) and ironically, can’t keep their own appointment times. After waiting almost 30 minutes with a full bladder (as instructed to have for an ultrasound), we left and went to a different clinic.
