Speedo Futura Biofuse Flexiseal Goggles

Good while it lasts. Rubber seals come of – Sleek and comfortable speedo biofuse glasses but unfortunately is not built for real world use. Rubber seals around the glasses are flimsy and cuts in the corner making the glasses unusable.
Purchased in for $40.
Terrible manufacturing. Two pairs developed a hairline rip in the rubber gasket – I have bought two pairs in one month. The first pair failed after 3 weeks. The second pair failed after TWO DAYS! In both instances a rubber gasket (ie the seal around the eye) developed a rip in an inner corner, which obviously rendered them useless. There was NO reason for this. They are stored in a loose cotton bag for protection, then placed a swim bag pocket dedicated to them so as not to scratch or damage the googles. They are not left in the car for potential heat exposure. My nails are kept very short. Simply put, there is no reason for the rubber to fail once let alone twice!
Terrible manufacturing .
Purchased in for $45.
Leaked and could not get them to seal – I had a similar pair of speedo goggles which I had for a year before they started leaking. I used this pair only twice and could not get them to seal. Tried to return them after 5 days and was told there were no obvious faults so they would not be exchanged for me.
Purchased for $40.
Flexi eye rubber seal fails – Yes they are super comfy to wear but if you have a child training in them and they are taking them on or off to see the coach then forget buying these. Every pair has failed. My goggles always last me years and I swim in them 3 times a week. As soon as my daughter wore my pair of Futura for squad training the rubber seal failed after a week! I bought her another pair as she told me they were super comfy the same thing happened 2 months later with the seal. I was desperate as she had a competition the day it failed so I bought her another pair and again it failed this time 4 months after wearing them! Unfortunately I did not keep the receipts. I asked Speedo what their warranty was and they told me unless I have a receipt they could do nothing.

Fails to live up to antifog claim – A week ago I bought Futura Biofuse Flexiseal googles and returned them because the antifog did not work. The shopkeeper said maybe they hadn't sealed properly and I exchanged them for Futura Biofuse Flexiseal Triathlon googles. Again by my 17th 50m swim lap they too fogged up. To be sure I made them tighter on my next swim. No difference they continued to fog up. Both sets of goggles claim to be "antifog" and at $55 for the 2nd pair one would expect them to do just that. I wonder now when the antifog was tested just how many pools laps were they tested on! I am not sure if the shop will take back the 2nd pair as they suggested it was my problem the first time. So, I am really annoyed that this has happened twice now.
Speedo fobbed me off with some how to deal with fogging up crap which I already knew. I have since tried 2 more brands of goggles both a great deal cheaper and both 100% lived up to their anti-fog claims. Dictionary definition of anti-fog is ": preventing or inhibiting the buildup of condensation on a surface (such as a lens or window)". Both expensive speedo goggles categorically failed to do this.

Further, the agent for Speedo suggested I did not fit them properly - of course I did, you hold them to your face to seal then you put the strap over the head and tighten if necessary ... I have swam for 40 years with goggles so should know how to fit them .. besides if they didn't seal they'd leak! I think they weren't tested past about 15 laps or they are being made by the cheapest company as is often done, sometimes different makes each batch, and as such fail the quality control.
