Replaces downlights
Dale did a great job, he was on time and rang me a half hour before he was due to arrive which was very helpful. I only required one globe replaced and ended up with five new downlights so he did his job well and I am very happy with the result and would definitely call you guys again when needed.

Not happy
I wanted a ducted air conditioner service I explained it was working but not as good as it use to.
They send someone to do the service and he said that compressor was losing cycles and temperature change. So he need to send someone to do a fault find, when the guy came out he could not find anything wrong with the air conditioner the only problem was it is located to close to the fence. So this costed me $400 to tell me nothing is wrong with the unit. Why couldn't the first guy see this was a problem.

Competent, professional and quick service
Tom's done an amazing job in installing a number of ceiling lights and fans in my house.
He's been very professional, competent and gave a lot of great advice for a few more planned projects.

Do Not Use This Company for Any Evap/Air Con repairs.
At the end of 2019 my evaporative air conditioner stopped working, a technician from Starplus group found that the PCB board was faulty/broken due to age. I got a quote to replace PCB board and controller to fix the issue and was assured by the technician this would work as he had done this for another customer 3 months prior with no issues on the same type of unit. I wasn't told told by anyone that there could be 30% chance that replacing these 2 parts might not work so I agreed to go ahead with replacing the 2 parts and paid just under $1800...Read more
to have a new PCB board and controller installed. Once the technician(who no longer works for the company) finished installing the 2 parts the unit was working but the fan speed was stuck on high. Adjusting the fan speed on the controller done nothing. The technician at the time didn't know why the fan speed wasn't working and needed to get to his next job, I was happy that my air con was blowing cool air into the house a week before a 47C heatwave was about to hit. I paid the technician for his work and had a verbal agreement that when the heatwave was over he would come back to fix the fan speed issue. My first mistake was to pay Starplus group for an incomplete job, second mistake was a verbal agreement with the technician that he would come back at a later date and fix the issue and third mistake was I didn't report the issue to office and nor did the technician. Because the people in the office were not aware of the issue I was recharged for another call out fee to find out by a different technician that the newly installed PCB board was faulty. I contacted the office explained what had happened and now they recommend that I buy a new system at my expense. Are you serious! Why wasn't I told this in the first place, I could have put the $1800 towards a new system instead of gambling on a 70% success rate and 30% fail rate. Tradesman arrived when expected. He was polite, gave a quick quote after inspection and explained the problem.
After the work was completed, he checked that everything was working and said he would inform Star Gp of the remaining problem, for which he did not have parts, and that Star Gp would contact me in a few days and send someone to fix it.

Head office rang half hour out from expected which was really handy. Quick and efficient work done. Did request when booking that a kitchen fan would need to be more than likely replaced but electrician did not have the appropriate equipment - not sure if the message got through, but means a second call out is now required. Overall, the team was good and easy to deal with!

Has anybody else ever been ripped off as much as I was? Was charged $298 for a brivisL53 capacitor that I later found out costs $19.29 inc gst retail. I Was harged $200 for 10 minutes work to diagnosis and fit it.
I think the mafia would have better morals than these bunch of crooks.
