to other bank accounts once the payment reflects in our account ( Utilities or rates account) They claim to pay for multiple services, including: Mobile: Optus, Vodafone Electricity, Gas: AGL, Energy Australia, Origin, Alinta, Sumo, Lumo, Red, etc. Water: Sydney Water, Unity Water, SA Water Insurance: Health, Car, Home Government & Fines: ATO, Council Rates, Parking or Speed Fines Others: Medical, School, College Fees, Invoices, Mortgage, Loans, Credit Cards How the fraud works They make an initial payment from one account, then ask the victim to transfer 70 percent to other accounts. After that, they raise a bank dispute claiming the transaction was unauthorized. Their bank refunds them, allowing them to keep both the refund and the 70 percent paid by the victim. This causes loss to the victim and service providers. Actions taken: I reported this to Utility services , Council, and to my Bank, also reported the incident to CyberCrime.

Attached screenshot of WhatsApp chat. Other red flag I noticed that they don’t have valid phone number . They communicate with clone WhatsApp number and uses wise payment system to transfer money to their international accounts.

Please don’t trust them at all and don’t get into lure discount offers.
