First things first
As with most cookwares, a little extra preparation before your first use will make your DuraCeramic™ Frypan go far.
To get superior food release and easy clean-up, season your frypan with the following steps.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of canola or vegetable oil onto the base and sides of the frypan with a paper towel or soft cloth to evenly coat the cooking surface.
- Heat on MIN temperature for 20 minutes or until frypan starts to smokes.
- Turn the frypan off. Let it cool down to room temperature and wipe away excess oil. Do not wash.
- Repeat the seasoning process every 4 to 6 months for optimum performance.

Care and Cleaning Hints and Tips
There are three preventative steps that can help prevent food from sticking.
- Season your pan before first use, please see our how to season video to get started.
- Allow the frypan to pre-heat on the MED/MAX setting. Then set the control probe dial to the desired temperature setting.
- When you start to heat the frypan, we recommend to allow the temperature to cycle (the light cycling on and off) several times. This will help the cooking surface adjust to a more accurate cooking temperature.
When using highly pigmented ingredients such as turmeric (fresh or powdered), curry sauce, soy sauce and tomato sauce, some staining may occur. When cooking, always start with low or medium heat before adding food to the frypan.
High heat may cause the food to stick; the surface to discolour; or damage the natural properties of the ceramic coating. You can remove or reduce stubborn food residue by rubbing the ceramic coating with a cream cleanser or a paste of bicarbonate of soda and water using a clean cloth.
We also recommend that you repeat the seasoning process every 4 to 6 months for optimum performance.
