Great appliance – This steamer is fantastic. It's very simple and easy to use. Just set the timer and forget. The steaming happens pretty well straightaway from cold water. You don't need a lot of water either. Food retains colour and flavour. Great for boiled eggs too. I cook 8 at a time then keep in fridge for later use. The shell comes off easily too without sticking. Vegetables don't lose their colour. Potatoes are easy to cook. So glad we bought one. Show details

This is perfect – bought the steamer about 2 months ago and I use it whenever I can use it. Everything tastes so much better, I use it at least 5 times a week. It is so convenient. Once you have figured out how long a vegetable or whatever needs to be cooked, it turns out perfect. Just love it. Show details
Last one lasted 13 years – Bought the previous model of this one back in 2007. It still worked in 2020but items that used to take 35 mins to steam we’re taking up to 50mins+ so it was time for an upgrade to this model. So far I am very happy with this model too. Show details
Great steamer, well designed – Replaced a faithful Kambrook steamer with this product. The Kambrook steamer still worked even though all the numbers on the timer had worn off, so I took it to work to use there. The baskets are very well designed and you can see the food clearly in the middle. The ability to refill without removing them is also great. They have adequate… Read more · 1
ventilation so you get less surface area for parts sticking to the bottom, and don't warp under steam like my older steamer did. All in all it's made me utilise this mode of cooking more than previously. The drip catcher is also better designed than my previous steamer so that little or no contaminated water gets into the steaming reservoir below, which leads to a mouldy mess if you should happen to forget to empty it for a few days.
Very minor caveats - there always has to be something, right?. Since you store the bowls nestled in reverse order, they won't store nicely on top of the steamer. Not a huge problem as it tends to reside on my bench top and not get put away. Also the "zero" on the timer dial is a bit off. You always need to set it for a few minutes more than it says on the dial. Could just be the particular unit I picked up - for me not worth exchanging it over, especially as I ordered over the internet.
