Sungrow SBR 3.2 kWh HV LiFePO4 Solar Battery Module SBR032 SMR032
VerifiedMPNs: SBR032 and SMR0321 review
So I started my home battery storage adventure a year ago. I engaged Solar Choice of Manly, to find a reputable installer, and decided upon Green.com.au of North Sydney. They recommended a Sungrow Hybrid Inverter 8Kw paired with the Sungrow SBR128 Li-Ion battery consisting of 4 x 3.2Kw modules. To be honest, It was all I could afford at the time. This battery pack featured an expandable capability to almost double it capacity with the addition of extra modules. (BTW the inverter also had extra capacity to add further panels). Well here I am, a year later, and although the Feed In Tariff (money you get for sending power to the grid), has decreased immensely, I found it worthwhile to add to my system, another 3 modules. You must do your own research and crunch your own numbers as everyone's usage patterns are different. For me though, it was a no brainer when combined with some very special pricing from the Sungrow stockists on eBay. Normally around $1800 per module, I was able to get 3 modules for just over $3600. Their units are "Plug and Play" meaning a quick and simple addition to an existing rack. Two hours later, and hey presto, my system had almost doubled in capacity. There were some firmware update required, and some waiting around for cells to rebalance, but those were all sorted the following day, I could not be more pleased. Thank you Sungrow for a great product. (and Jayden Bevin, my sparky)
