I just picked up and SXT 1600 XL in fantastic condition for really, really cheap. It currently runs on a lead acid battery. I am wanting to upgrade to lithium so what do you recommend please and where do I get it - I live in the North Side of Brisbane Australia
Sorry Chris, I already run lithium batteries in my scooter ,but unfortunately the company I purchased the scooter from no longer exist . The company was Scoota online and they carried all the spares.Maybe you can locate them.Good luck.
Hi I have a 1600 XL trying to charge but green light on charger in on its normaly red when flat i have had the batteries tested reaching up to 48 v so there fine had the charger tested its letting out the right voltage so when I'm trying to take of the lights are up but wont move intermittent movment for a second when accelerated the lights die out what could be the issue thanks Rich
Have you tested the batteries under load.It is quite normal to read correct voltage with no load but under load it is a different story. Hope this has been of some help.
Hi Service I have a XL1600 it has been running with no fault for the last 2 years. Now I have an intermittent drive issue. From day to day I can power it on via the key all three lights are luminated on the throttle control but when it is turned the motor wont start. I have replaced a intermittent battery cable connector but still intermittently I can ride it, sometimes not. While doing testing and the scooter is on a milk crate I cannot duplicate the fault. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Michael
I did have a similar problem and I tracked it down to a broken cable from the throttle control to the speed controller.It would appear that the cable had been pinched and would intermittently seperate and cause the issue. Hope this helps and good luck.

I have always ran the lithium battery pack and found them to be very reliable. Not sure if your scooter is compatible with this type of battery.

I have checked batteries they appear to be charged and holding charge but when i turn throttle the scooter just jolts forward. Sometimes under low throttle it will roll forward but not under full throttle.

hi.i have a sxt1600 scooter.its not going atm. Nothings been disconnected from the contoller but wen i turn the switch on theres nothing? no power? the scooter wont start.have you any idea why? iv checked all the conectors and wires and it all appears to be fine.Dont know what else to do. also can u pls clarify to me what colour should light up on the battery charger wen i put it on charge? should the light be red or green? And lastly is it possible to get a SIMPLE lol diagram of the actal wiring? or a manual on how the thing should be wired. I appreciate your help, im in way over my head here! Cheers!!
Charger should be a red light until fully charged then turn to green.Get a multimeter and check battery power and also check the main fuse at the battery.
Where can I purchase a lithium battery 48v 20ah replacement for lead battery as they are not holding the charge.

Hi mate, sounds like the motor is on its way out and the batteries are getting tired. See if you can source a new motor and new batteries to fix the issue.
I got a sxt 1600XL scooter but it does not drive anymore the brake lever was broken and it did drive at that time, then i did not use it for a month or 2 and now it does not drive how can i fix it?
We sell Replacement brake leavers. The brake leaver has a small sensor in the leaver that when pulled it will kill the power to the motor. This is to prevent the motor burning out when you are braking. It sounds like this may have been damaged.
my back tire is popped can’t find a replacement tube anywhere went on the scoota website and it’s out of stock?
Sorry I am unable to suggest anywhere else at this stage.Maybe try tire shops.You might have some luck. What about buying a complete wheel from SCOOTA ONLINE. May well be a quick fix.

I own two SXT’s. One has a grating sound as I slow down. Not real sure it’s the brakes. Still does a good quick 55klms. This one has the double springs up front. The second one has no brake pads at all for stopping. I’m haveing a bloody hard time trying to get an address to send away for brake pads. Can anyone supply and address. I live in Albury , wodonga on the border. So it would be Sydney or Melbourne.I’d say single spring up front. It goes just as quick. Love em. Hi mate, sounds like you need new brakes for both scooters. Order 4 of these (2 for each scooter). These are a simple swap out.

Assassin 1600 electric scooter. I was wondering what to do because the light come on it says it's fully charged I turn the key on the lights are on and there's no acceleration and ways forgetting to do something I've only just bought this scooter and I've never owned one previously.
Hi Jason, Assassin brand is not one of our scooters but I would look at the throttle for any damage, motor connectors and the connectors on the controller. If it’s brand new go back to the company who supplied the scooter. Best of luck mate. Cheers
Hi I bought a Sxt Scooter and they great but after a year ,The battery won’t charge up,I tried a different charger and it shows green on charger but battery is flat,Whats the best way I can test? Or do I need to buy new batteries,I have 4 battery’s in total
If it shows green when plugging it into the scooter then there may be a connection issue with the charger to battery. Does the battery charger change to red when plugged in or just stay green? If it stays green then there is a connection issue. Let us know and we'll work with you to get it fixed and up and running again

When plugging it in, I have to wiggle the wires sometimes. Also, if power isn't switched ON to charger, and you are plugged in for charging, it will show green (confusing). But when you switch on the charger (while plugged in to scooter) it will turn red (unless it is already fully charged).
I have just purchased a 1600XL. I love the scooter. 2 things Is there a speedometer available How long does the battery last approximately Many thanks
You can see about 20km out of a full charge on normal running mode in boost mode that's cut dramatically depending on your battery Hills ect. There is a speedometer available thru the sxt scooter store IV planned on doing the same with mine
I need to know the size of the capassitors within the charger unit itself. There r 2 large and 8 smaller ones thanku
