1 Aleen K  · No refund yet just lodged a fair trading complaint and bank dispute will never shop online with Target again! Poor customer service
1 Li M.  · Take forever to process online returns. Don't honor consumer rights.
1 K065  · Sizing is absolutely ridiculous. Ordered women's XS and it was TOO LARGE for my 100k husband. What an absolute waste of time
1 MBO  · I want to buy clothes from this store, but you don't deliver to Townsville in size 18 and 20
5 Jeannie  · Target used to be a better alternative to Kmart and Big W, now it’s just Kmart, Anko products suck, change it back or risk losing all valued clients.
1 Jayden M.  · Don’t bother with these jokers - obsolete business – Poor customer service. Poor refund policy. Buy online and forget this place exists.

I wanted to share some feedback about a recent visit I had at your Knox City store on 28/4/2026 at around 11am, as the experience left me quite uncomfortable. I was looking for Hot Wheels and asked a staff member for help, who directed me to the display near the back of the store next to a register. After picking the items I wanted, I started… Read more

walking towards the front of the store to pay.

At that point, the staff member at the back register told me that I had to pay there in front of other customers. I said I preferred to pay at the front, and also mentioned that another customer had just picked items from the same area and walked off without being asked to pay there. She responded that she didn’t see that person.I then told her I would pay and I was going to pay at the front.

I went to the front and checked with another staff member before paying, and she confirmed that customers are allowed to pay at any register. This left me quite confused.

To be honest, the interaction didn’t sit well with me. The way it was handled made me feel like I was being singled out or treated with suspicion, which was quite uncomfortable given I was just trying to shop normally.

I understand there may be concerns around theft for certain items, but if there is a specific policy, it should be clearly communicated and applied consistently to all customers.

I’d appreciate it if this could be looked into, and I would like a response clarifying your store’s policy as well as how situations like this will be handled going forward. I also believe an apology would be appropriate given the experience.

Ordered an item online that never arrived. Tracked down the AUPost tracking number and it says item was delivered, proof of delivery photo shows the item was placed in my neighbour's open mailbox. Spoke with the neighbour who claims that they don't check their mailbox frequently and that they havn't seen it. I checked their mailbox and it was… Read more

still unlocked with weeks' worth of mail inside but no package. Filed a dispute with AUPost, was told to speak to the seller. Filed a dispute with Target, was told item was delivered and they even sent me a photo that clearly shows the item being placed into an unlocked mailbox with the wrong unit number! Sure it wasn't their fault that my item was delivered to the wrong address but their "investigation" tells me that they're equally incompetent.

My experience with Target Strathpine, has been extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I attempted to return items and provided a bank statement clearly showing the date and time of purchase. Despite this valid proof, the staff refused to process the refund. When I escalated the matter to an acting manager (Megan) I was told this was due to a… Read more

“new policy,” which was neither explained properly nor applied with any flexibility or common sense.

I was then promised a copy of the receipt when I contacted the call center, so I could proceed with the refund. This was never sent, and all my attempts to follow up either via phone call or online chat have been completely ignored.

This demonstrates a serious lack of customer service, accountability, and basic respect for consumers. Failing to honour a reasonable refund request, while also failing to follow through on a promised resolution, is unacceptable.

Under Australian Consumer Law, consumers are entitled to remedies when they can provide proof of purchase — and a bank statement is explicitly recognised as valid proof. Refusing to act on this, and then failing to provide the promised documentation is not only poor customer service but potentially a breach of consumer obligations.

Based on this experience, I would strongly caution others about shopping there.

NO STARS. Looking at the review history, online ordering issues are common and long-standing. Interactions with staff suggest they are of the same opinion and there are no solutions forthcoming, so as a customer I feel like an inconvenience, with limited assistance offered, if at all. Live Chat feature has functionality issues, agent ending chat… Read more

while I madly attempt to reply. Answers provided to ordering issues seem speculative rather than factual, suggesting changes to stock levels, but when pressed after restarting Live Chat feature, (as website still advises product available for home delivery,) I’m advised my account is blocked by a security feature which can only be corrected by calling 1300 customer service line. Agent then reverting back to stock levels and suggesting Click and Collect, when I have advised the local store has no stock. After 33 minutes waiting, my account needs to be referred to a specialist team who will advise in 48-72 hours. In the meantime do not place any orders as they will most likely continue to be rejected. No, nothing can be expedited or escalated further, but is there anything else they can help with?? Ridiculous. This isn’t my first time with issues ordering online but my first time progressing this far with understanding what is occurring. I’ve previously lost $75 in gift cards, as “the system” rejected the validity of details entered. As I disposed of gift cards after completing my order, I had no card numbers or expiry dates I could provide, so I was offered no solution and left out of pocket. It is astounding to find a company with such limited interest in helping customers successfully complete a purchase.

Target is horrible, you place an order, 2 days later the item is not available. Years passed and still the same no improvement, It’s simple in stock or not. You wait for the refund, hoping to buy something else, you get charged delivery again and might not be in stock. They give you promotion code that don’t work. No one to talk to anyone on weekends, only unhelpful AI. Website and the app are buggy all the time for years.

What on earth target, how could anyone even pack this , have they not been trained to see unfit products. Received this yesterday, could not believe my eyes. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed, should have been throw in the bin at warehouse. Gel eye masks are completely dried out and stuck to the coating.

It used to be great to order and get your products but has declined over the years, perhaps that's why I shop there less and less online. I have had to edit these pics to hide my information. But it shows what I have stated.

BEWARE… online stuff ups become YOUR problem to fix! Purchased a 3 Pack Australian Cotton Blend Hipster Trunks - Maxx they arrived with security tag through them. email. I did, attached photo and 5-6 days later have not received a response. Tried Target Facebook which was also suggested. Got a response after 24 odd hours with two options: 1: return them for a refund (I bought them because I needed them) Or 2: take them to my local Target store to have the security tag removed.

I purchased online, bought enough items to qualify for free shipping. So I didn’t need to go into a store. My local store is just over 1/2hr drive away. Not really local.

Amazed that for a set of three trunks that were on special for $14 Target just didn’t (were not willing to) send me another set.

I understand staff are trained to remove security tags, mistakes happen and they were missed being taken off, but Targets solution for an online purchase issue is totally unsatisfactory.

Beware!

My online orders were immediately cancelled within minutes, despites stores showing ample stock-- before anyone could physically check the stock. Bought bedspreads that showed stock online and in store; item was immediately cancelled within minutes due to 'lack of stock'. Inventory on the website was still showing in stock (green) at at least 3… Read more

stores within 10km of me, so I chalked it up to a dodgy store and bought it again. Same thing. Tried again. Same. Thought maybe it was my payment method (paypal) because one of the refund reasons claimed I'd requested a refund which I hadn't. The next day, the stock was still showing as green so I tried CC. This time it took longer but it still cancelled. Okay fine, maybe they are out of stock then and their online store has a delay/discrepancy with the inventory.

Reader, it's been almost two weeks since my orders and the stock levels for this bedspread are STILL showing as available at various stores Australia wide on the site. I could buy it online a 5th time if I wanted. If you've been 'out of stock' for two weeks surely your online order should reflect this? So I contacted customer service about their online ordering system auto-refunding despite showing stock, and told them that there's either something dodgy with the people processing orders or the ordering system itself.

Got a reply today about them 'checking the stock levels for me,' and confirming there is no stock of that item, and that 'Target can refund orders at their discretion' (which was bolded) which is code for what exactly? They can't be bothered going to the back to check if they have an item? They don't want to forward my order to a store with stock? They auto-cancel items because they are too hard basket to find? They don't want our money? All of the above, it seems to me.

So I physically went to one of the stores showing stock today. Yes, there was stock, and yes, the customer service rep straight up lied to me about the lack of stock, and I'm sure a week and a half ago when I first ordered they would have had even more stock available, especially in remote stores. Their online order STILL shows stock in stores like Bulls Creek and I'm still confused why my order couldn't be forwarded there. For whatever reason, it seems Target isn't forwarding orders to other stores and I believe they are only using the closest stores to order then cancelling when these stores don't have stock, because that's the only way their 'out of stock' claim makes sense.

And the Target customer service reply was inadequate. Instead of promising to improve their online ordering system and improve their stock levels to be more accurate and/or look into their inventory management (took a screenshot of the stock levels of the item as of RIGHT NOW and its still showing in stock!), their CS opted to double down on a lie, (that there was no stock left) despite the fact the online stock levels are still green and I physically saw the bedspread myself in stock today and I'm sure there are other stores I couldn't go to that also have it.

Their CS reply to me just makes them look dishonest.

Really expected better of Target, but I guess they don't want people to purchase their items and prefer to cancel items 4 times in a row rather than forward an order to a store that has stock. They think this is a good way to do business and don't want to improve their online ordering system. Extremely disappointed with their customer service representatives also.

of the shoes. This is the quality of product produced by Target it is no wonder Target is going down hill. I returned the shoes to the Target store at Southgate plasa in Reynella with the view to replace them, as they were more than 12 months old the replacement was out of the question. However after purchasing these shoes one doesn't expect the sole to fall off the shoes. These shoes are now back with Target as I have left them in store to be sent to upper management to see why customers are leaving their stores in droves. I personally will never shop in a Target store again. The quality of Target products is of a extremely low quality and this is only going to effect Targets longevity.

Follow-up  · Originally the shoes were a good fit. The sole detached because it was glued on but there was nothing to glue it to as the sole of the shoes had no structure for the glue to adhere to, and was only glued around the outer edges.

I purchased a sports bra similar to a previous design they no longer make. The ad was designed to look identical to the older version, yet the newer version - the Ashley fuller figure sports bra - is appalling. Worst bra I’ve ever had.

The anko carpet cleaner was $119 delivered via aus post so i actually received pretty quick. The unit is simple to use, just two screws to hold handle in place, hot water and detergent in, filthy water to empty out of the bottom container. Worked very well and probably cheaper than getting a steam cleaner company. Also could not leave review on target site for this product??

I’ve purchased Target Curve plus sized clothes for a few years now as they were of a good quality and fit.
