No Wonder Company is Closing Stores
Placed an order four hours after the release of an item, item was available online for a further 8 plus hours. 24 hours later Target cancels order with insufficient stock. Contact customer service and get generic replies - apparently orders get sent to up to five stores and all of them are out of stock???? This is the third time this has happened in the last two months. Coastal customers appear to be given preference over remotes customers. So disappointed in Target and can understand how they are losing business and shutting down stores. One of the most uncaring, inconsiderate and incompetent companies in Australia.
Think twice before buying ANYTHING from Target. Their product fault caused a fire
Just a bit of a public service announcement. Think twice before purchasing ANY product from Target and certainly never buy a candle from them.
Their management team is a joke and has been the worst case of customer service I’ve ever experienced. They sell products that are fire and safety Hazzards. (Can see why they are having to close their stores with this type of behaviour and attitude of their alleged management staff)
Their product, a candle with a glass jar housing, cracked open causing a small fire. Target Australia didn’t care that th...eir product was faulty and caused a potentially catastrophic fire. They accept no responsibility for their product breaking open. As you can see by the photo, the glass casing cracked open. Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars and shop at a reputable retailer. If anyone has experienced a similar occurrence, please reach out.
On-line ordering is a joke
I ordered on-line a Dyson Vacuum Cleaner just this morning while I'm at work, finalized the order and paid (took the $ from my card right away) for it at 2.45am, received email saying that my order is in placed and currently in progress.. come at 9am after I've told everyone that I've bought the vacuum came a email from Target stating that my ordered could not be processed and allow them upto 7days to be refunded! No reason why they can not process it! It's annoying that I need to wait now for upto 7days before they can refund my $! Called the ...customer support and she just like 'oh yeah our on-line sales team will email you on how you gonna get the refund!' No help at all! You took the $ right away, then emailing me that you can not process my order without giving a reason why, then now I need to wait for my refund! What a joke Target!
First time using Target's Click & Collect service and I was not impressed. I ordered 2 toys as gifts 1 week before (Saturday)I needed them (for the following Sunday). My local store did not have them in stock and the system said another store location had them. After paying for my products I received an email saying it will take 3 to 7 days. I called 3 days later on a Wednesday to track my order. The lady I spoke to said the order is not ready yet as there's only 1 staff member handling online orders. I specified I need the gifts for the weeken...d and will need to come in Saturday at the latest to collect them. I called the store on Friday and after having me on hold for 20mins the line kept cutting out. I decided to drive 30mins to the store to collect my order. Only for them to tell me that my order is not ready as it is being shipped from a store in MELBOURNE and they do not receive orders on a weekend! Had the lady I spoke to a few days earlier told me this, I would have cancelled the order and got a refund since it would have been no use to receive the gifts days after I needed them! Totally useless service that I will never use again!
DO NOT USE CLICK AND COLLECT
I tried to use Target click and collect again after a horrible experience a few years back. Its worse now. I ordered one pillow and one pillowcase. Three weeks and counting. My local store has them in stock. Email has gone unanswered for 6 days and I've now been on hold on the phone for 27 minutes. If you cannot go to the store to buy your item then expect a huge wait.

Bought Online 10 packs of Nappies in January 2020. Only 7 were delivered and the order was closed
On the 31st of January 2020, we bought via Target website 10 items of "BabyLove Cosifit Toddler Nappies 34 Pack" - order #100853682.
On the 4th of February 2020, I got an email saying that there was 1 item ready for collection at the "Target - Point Cook" store located at Boardwalk at Point Cook. I went there and picked it up. At this point, there were 9 items still to be delivered.
On the 6th of February 2020, I got another email saying that there were 2 more items ready for collection at the "Target - Point Cook" store located at Boardwalk ...at Point Cook. I went there and collected them. At this point, there were 7 items still to be delivered. I waited until the 20th of February without hearing a word from Target when I decided to ask them for a status. On the 25th of February 2020, I got an email from Target saying: "Australia Post has now concluded our investigation regarding your online order and has informed us that it has been deemed 'lost in transit'". At that point, they gave me 2 alternatives: wait or get refunded on the remaining 7 items. I chose to wait. On the 4th of March 2020, I got another email saying that there were 7 items ready for collection at the "Target - Point Cook" store located at Boardwalk at Point Cook. This time, I went there, collected a big box, opened it while still in the store (they should be able to confirm this by looking at video recordings from the cameras in the store) and realised there were only 4 items instead of 7. Then, I went back to the customer service desk, informed the manager of the store that there were 3 items missing but that I had just been sent an email saying that all items had being collected. He told be that it was probably because of the whole confusion with the 'lost in transit' items but that I could trust them that they would call me back when the remaining 3 items were ready for collection.
Misleading stock information
Do not believe the website stock availability!! Item has stated it is in stock at my local store for 2 weeks straight and still to this day it says it is in stock and available for click and collect. Yet when I made the order, I got an email straight after saying it's not in stock at my store and will need to be sourced from another store with no estimated timeframe for arrival. Why process the order at that location if it's not available! I then rang the store to check for the stock availability who said they never had the item. The website ha...s not been updated and continues to mislead customers. They respond by saying "subject to availability"...well that contradicts saying it's in stock! They won't refund me and I'm still waiting on an item with no idea of stock availability. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE with no updates. In this time, I have had 3 Kmart orders ready and delivered within days. No wonder why Target is struggling to compete.
Delivery took ages but I'm ok with that considering what is going on. I waited on online chat for 20 mins and it got cancelled on me. I waited another 20 mins, and I told them I purchased a clutch with a removable strap and there was no strap.. after waiting ages for reply's all i got was a partial refund of $5 or full refund if I go take back to the store which I replied I'm not going anywhere with the virus going on. So now I have to wait 2 days before they will ring me to sort it out. No help. The scarf I also purchased has a hole in it and the threading had been pulled. Not happy.
Target should be advising of delivery delays before taking money
I ordered my son’s birthday present on the 7th April and am still waiting. It’s his birthday tomorrow. Have emailed customer service twice now and just got an auto reply both times. Online tracking was last updated on the 9th April stating awaiting pickup by Australia Post. I don’t know what to do. Target is obviously behind with their deliveries and customer service but I cannot believe they are still taking orders and people’s money when they are unable to deliver in a reasonable timeframe. Will not risk ordering online again.
Avoid this chain, terrible customer service and bad products! Competitors at least try harder to serve people. There, it is very hard to find things, the customer service is terrible, and when there is a problem with the product, be prepared, your money is lost.
Worst Customer Service
Placed an online order for two items. One large and one small. Order accepted and paid. Two days later Target canceled the one item as out of stock. Shipped the smaller item and charged the full delivery fee. Now a $7 item cost $9 for delivery. No answer to multiple emails to both customer service and online shopping. Web chat. When you connect always more than 70 people in queue. When eventually you are number one, the chat cancels. Spent more than an hour on hold to speak to someone who basically said they could not do anything! Have asked to have this escalated. Not expecting a response.
Missing click and collect
I ordered a click and collect on the 23rd March, a month ago and haven't received my item!!! Three emails to customer service with no reply, a message to Facebook with no reply, phone calls on hold endlessly. You couldn't have worse customer service if you tried! Never again. You've stolen my money as far as I'm concerned
I ordered from Target online over two weeks ago and my order still hasn’t arrived!!!
Tried calling customer service and was put on hold for an hour and 15 minutes, so I hung up because I couldn’t wait any longer.
I messaged them through Facebook and no response and through email they didn’t give me any details on where my order is.
I don’t know when to expect my parcel or where it is.
I will never buy online with Target again.

I placed an order on the 6th April with expected delivery date to be Easter Monday 13th April. I expected a few days late due to co-vid and Easter being a very busy time. Then I get an email saying ETA is 20th April. Still nothing !! I am now sending kids back to school and don’t need any of the stuff I ordered so I will be taking it back and getting a refund.
It would have been nice to have known ETA before taking my money. I have since ordered a few more things online from
other stores that have already been delivered within a few days. Also their tracking was very efficient. Next time I buy local from a small business and not Target as they obviously are too busy and do not care anyway !!

A month ago I ordered a product and it never arrived. I emailed the managing director of Target and what do you know, I received an immediate refund and a gift card apologizing for the inconvenience. Don't bother chasing Target staff, go straight to the top!
failed to deliver
I ordered my daughters birthday present over a month ago. I received an email that my order is ready to be dispatched, but i still have not received my items. I have tried to contact Target but I just get a generated response back.
I understand that they have had a high number of online orders but if they do not have the items in stock they need to let us know rather then doing nothing.
I am hoping i will receive my monies back through a paypal dispute.

I placed an order 7/04/2020, after 2 weeks I’m still waiting for tracking information to show if it has been shipped. They state on Facebook comments to some people complaining (not all people) that they have been inundated with large number of online orders due to COVID19, but, instead of stopping the online service they continue to allow people to place orders, take your money and then allow you to wait and wonder if/when your order will arrive with everything you ordered.. or not...? Who knows! Trying to contact them via Facebook, messenger, email and phone is pointless as they’re too busy to respond, with some people claiming 1hr and a half wait times on the phone, but, they seem to have time to post advertisements to their Facebook page? Why continue to advertise if you cannot fulfill the orders you already have? You can appreciate that no doubt they are busy, but not responding to your customer enquiries in a timely manner is beyond unacceptable, I’ve only been waiting 2 days, others have been waiting almost a week for a response. By the time I get my products my toddler will have outgrown what I have purchased for her. Very unimpressed and will not use their service again in future!
Online ordering fail!!!!
Ordered Max Factor blush x 3 online. Paid w afterpay.
Order took nearly 2 weeks to deliver and 2 out of the 3 blushes were used - finger prints in the product.
Went to my local store (St Marys) but the staff inc the manager didnt know how to process the refund. I had to travel to Mt Druitt (Sunday 19.04.20 PM) where a nice guy refunded the money in seconds!
Questions & Answers
My daughter received swimwear from Target for Christmas. After wearing them only twice, the bottom and bust area are beginning to pill and the little slivers of elastic within the material are popping out (as they would on older worn out bathers). As they have been worn, and I no longer have the receipt, am I able to exchange them as they are obviously of very low quality (considering what they cost)/faulty? Thanks
