Being waiting for almost 2 months for my refund of items they couldn’t deliver due to a stocking issue. Contacted, no joke, at least 10 times by phone and email to get my refund. transactions or just lying. Wish I had checked reviews beforehand. Now their excuse is that they are investigating the issue. Nothing to investigate, just process my refund. On speaking to their so call complaints department, I was offered a $20 max gift card instead. That doesn’t cover my refund and the gift card would take up to a month to come to me. Don’t trust that would even show up. Disgusting service. Will not buy from target ever again.
Order delivered to a hub not attempt to deliver to home address, email shows 4mins between out for delivery and order delivered to hub. Contacted customer support "what a waste of time" agent was obviously reading a script told no way I could speak with manager Sent email to [Name Removed] who is in charge of online no response.
Follow-up · no reason given for not delivering I expect they went directly to drop off at hub not home address. I didn't ever recieve my order, eventually 4wks later recieved refund, after contacting manager of online and sending 8 emails. The hub location was 5km away from my address, I live inner city Melbourne sent to inconvient location. I would suggest… Read more

Like so many other reviews here describing the same nightmare, I honestly don't understand how a company with so little regard for basic commercial ethics, and such open disregard for the Australian Consumer Law, is still allowed to operate. Target seems to run on false promises and misleading information, and my experience over the past few weeks… Read more
has made that painfully clear.
On 30 June, I placed an order for a PlayStation 5 Pro on Target's website at $1,299. The order went through successfully. The next day, I received an official Order Confirmation and Tax Invoice from Target. Less than 20 minutes later, I received another email telling me the order had been cancelled due to no stock.
I followed up and told Target I was happy to wait until stock became available rather than cancel outright. I heard nothing back for over a week, and the item remained out of stock the entire time. On 9 July, with no update in sight, I contacted Target again to sort out a refund instead. That was when the real ordeal began.
On 9 July, Target agreed to the refund and emailed me to confirm it would appear in my bank account within 3 to 5 business days. On 14 July, Target contacted me out of the blue claiming there was an issue with my bank account details, despite the fact that I had already verified every detail with their staff over the phone on the 9th. I provided my bank details again and asked for written confirmation. That email set a new timeframe of 5 to 7 business days.
As of today, I still have not received a cent. When I followed up again in the past two days, I was told the refund had actually been sent out on 13 July, and would now take 3 to 10 business days. I asked the obvious question: if the money had already been transferred on the 13th, why was I contacted on the 14th to re-verify my bank details? The answer I just received is that the 13 July transfer failed, so a new transfer was reinitiated on the 14th, and I now need to wait another 5 to 10 business days.
Target has refused to provide any remittance advice or proof of transfer at any point in this process, and cannot confirm whether any transfer has actually been completed or successful.
To add insult to injury, the same PS5 Pro came back in stock on Target's website after 19 July, this time at $1,398, essentially confirming that the item I had already paid for and was told to wait for was simply never coming, while I was left chasing a refund that still hasn't materialised weeks later.
My advice: don't buy anything from Target, no matter how good the price looks. They will cancel your order without warning, and if you're owed a refund, they will wear down your patience with shifting stories and constantly moving deadlines while your money sits with them.

Target Cotton Blend V-Neck Knit Cardigan in Partridge colour $45 Looks & feels great, but after 4 wears over approximately 8 hours, it is already pilling, getting little balls under length of arm, sides of body and on should from carrying handbag. Disappointing. Hard to show in photos as cardigan is quite textured. Also no link to place a review… Read more
directly on Target website that I could see, despite info elsewhere online on where to locate. So no reviews, are good reviews. I realise most clothing these days is not made to last but 4 wears is a bit short. I haven’t purchased clothes from Target often as I am on a low income at the moment. I used gift money to pay for this, thinking it was my one great choice for winter. Not so.
Got the whole set! For 2.80 each! Saved myself est 56 dollars! From buying from Lego direct or other online sellers eBay Amazon etc. And it was the only last box in Perth, the ladies at the customer service were so nice to allow me to scan the very last box in Perth to get the whole set!
For products target are no better or worse than k mart or big w. Their downfall is dire customer service - as proven by their flybuys "Promotions". Twice now I have activated an offer from flybuys promising me x5 bonus points for purchases at target. On neither occasion did I get the points. Value of the latest reneged offer is just 90c. But… Read more
if everybody taking up the "Offer" was deprived of 90c. The overall amount might be quite considerable. And far more than 90c. Lost in bad will. I certainly won't shop at target again. Also leaving a bad taste in the mouth is flybuys customer services people promising that the points will be added to my account, but they never are. And that is a bad look for flybuys, particularly as their coles, liquorland and bunnings promotions generally run smoothly.
This is in regards to the online store. I should have read the reviews first, I ordered something over a week ago, it’s been sitting at the store ready for pickup for a week. I contacted customer support numerous times; the online chat was constantly disconnected by agent I believe on purpose as it was too hard to follow up. My order was almost… Read more
$200 and a birthday present. I’ve contacted them again by email to try and figure out what is happening and put in a formal complaint about the online chat assistance. Target please do not respond with sorry please click this link to redirect me back to a service that doesn’t assist me. Unfortunately due to this experience I won’t order from target again due to their poor assistance.
My experience with Target Strathpine, has been extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I attempted to return items and provided a bank statement clearly showing the date and time of purchase. Despite this valid proof, the staff refused to process the refund. When I escalated the matter to an acting manager (Megan) I was told this was due to a… Read more
“new policy,” which was neither explained properly nor applied with any flexibility or common sense.
I was then promised a copy of the receipt when I contacted the call center, so I could proceed with the refund. This was never sent, and all my attempts to follow up either via phone call or online chat have been completely ignored.
This demonstrates a serious lack of customer service, accountability, and basic respect for consumers. Failing to honour a reasonable refund request, while also failing to follow through on a promised resolution, is unacceptable.
Under Australian Consumer Law, consumers are entitled to remedies when they can provide proof of purchase — and a bank statement is explicitly recognised as valid proof. Refusing to act on this, and then failing to provide the promised documentation is not only poor customer service but potentially a breach of consumer obligations.
Based on this experience, I would strongly caution others about shopping there.

NO STARS. Looking at the review history, online ordering issues are common and long-standing. Interactions with staff suggest they are of the same opinion and there are no solutions forthcoming, so as a customer I feel like an inconvenience, with limited assistance offered, if at all. while I madly attempt to reply. Answers provided to ordering issues seem speculative rather than factual, suggesting changes to stock levels, but when pressed after restarting Live Chat feature, (as website still advises product available for home delivery,) I’m advised my account is blocked by a security feature which can only be corrected by calling 1300 customer service line. Agent then reverting back to stock levels and suggesting Click and Collect, when I have advised the local store has no stock. After 33 minutes waiting, my account needs to be referred to a specialist team who will advise in 48-72 hours. In the meantime do not place any orders as they will most likely continue to be rejected. No, nothing can be expedited or escalated further, but is there anything else they can help with?? Ridiculous. This isn’t my first time with issues ordering online but my first time progressing this far with understanding what is occurring. I’ve previously lost $75 in gift cards, as “the system” rejected the validity of details entered. As I disposed of gift cards after completing my order, I had no card numbers or expiry dates I could provide, so I was offered no solution and left out of pocket. It is astounding to find a company with such limited interest in helping customers successfully complete a purchase.
I ordered a blazer and some shoes online. The jacket was shoved in a bag with the shoes and is all wrinkled. The jacket was also covered in dust/lint etc.. Target clothing was great before Anko took over. Do better next time with packing ones order.

What on earth target, how could anyone even pack this , have they not been trained to see unfit products. Received this yesterday, could not believe my eyes. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed, should have been throw in the bin at warehouse. Gel eye masks are completely dried out and stuck to the coating.

email. I did, attached photo and 5-6 days later have not received a response. Tried Target Facebook which was also suggested. Got a response after 24 odd hours with two options: 1: return them for a refund (I bought them because I needed them) Or 2: take them to my local Target store to have the security tag removed.
I purchased online, bought enough items to qualify for free shipping. So I didn’t need to go into a store. My local store is just over 1/2hr drive away. Not really local.
Amazed that for a set of three trunks that were on special for $14 Target just didn’t (were not willing to) send me another set.
I understand staff are trained to remove security tags, mistakes happen and they were missed being taken off, but Targets solution for an online purchase issue is totally unsatisfactory.
Beware!
Worst customer service of Aussie company ever. Ordered click collect bit product changed to delivery. Needed product asap so bought elsewhere. Spent 2 hours on wend to no avail. Rang cust service on Mon (on hold for 1hr15min) to ASIA. No local call centre. Of course they could do nothing to assist from Asia. Wth. Over a $20 product i will not be using Target again EVER.

the store I wanted to purchase the item from. I got the confirmation and noticed their system did not pick up the address that I had put the order through, instead picked up my old address. I called within 7 minutes on their “ customer service number “ they would not assist said once it has gone through to the “ factory “ they could not change it. I then called the Frankston Store and I got a supposedly “ customer service supervisor “ who also advised the same thing. I then got cut off fron the call, and she could not even be bothered to call me back. [Name Removed] ( I think was her name ) went with the corporate narrative. She did not want to offer me any solutions or what I could do because apparently with Target once they have taken your money you are no longer relevant. I found out 3 days later who the courier was going to be, and what a difference in customer service, helpfulness and problem Solving. If it was not for Courier Please and the customer service of [Name Removed] not only would I have lost money I would have lost the suitcase that I had bought for my holiday.

I checked the premises thoroughly and also spoke with neighbouring residents, including the neighbour linked to the mailbox shown in the delivery photo, but the package still has not been located.
Despite this, the issue has not been resolved properly. From my perspective, a parcel placed in the wrong mailbox should not be treated as a successful delivery, especially when the customer has made reasonable efforts to locate it.

Target Chermside Queensland I had the best customer service from Nikki & Gemma I got delayed in traffic and was coming from a distance of over an hour and called the store on closing time, Nikki and Gemma they both stayed back and waited around for me to arrive to collect my item. respond to that before the order can be processed. Not sure if it was because of the gift card I paid with. But for 2 pairs of slippers and a kitchen item, I won't bother shopping with them anymore and shop elsewhere.Target is losing it.
Can’t give a minus Zero, but I would if I could. I mislaid my receipt. I was able to show on my bank statement showing my purchase. According to their new rules. No exchanges without the paper receipt! How ridiculous. In a digital world we are still reliant on a paper receipt. The young staff were extremely condescending and rude. Goodbye Target!
Avoid buying from Target Online! they send to the wrong address, don't answer their phone or return calls! the webpage does not respond to Chat Online, worst customer service ever!

In my days you only had to show the receipt and be able to exchange it for anything at the same price or pay the difference if over the original price.
We asked if I called Mr daughter in video showing the original card and manually keying in the card numbers manually. Again, no was the answer.

Showing the receipt and the items with Target tags, exchanging for the same price, i can't see the issue. Very inconvenient for all involved.

To resolve this, I offered to show the floor manager my bank statement, which clearly showed the transaction date and proof of purchase. Despite the item being in perfect, condition with clear proof of transaction, the floor manager flatly refused to proceed with the exchange without the physical receipt.
According to standard Australian retail practices and consumer expectations, a bank statement is widely accepted as a valid proof of purchase. When did Target introduce a policy that completely rejects bank statements for simple, identical size exchanges?
I have been a loyal Target customer for many years, but this rigid and unhelpful attitude has left a very poor impression. This policy—or the staff's interpretation of it—will undoubtedly alienate many regular shoppers.
As a result of this experience, I feel completely let down and I am sure that this will be my last purchase at any Target store.
