DUD!!! Cannot live with it – Unable to connect phone, unable to set time. In short 'Piece of crap !!' Hate those Christmas presents which are duds. Spent 1 hour trying to set-up, absolutely a failed product; considering my intellectual abilities, should have set it in 10 minutes.  Show details

Worked well for a couple years till the buttons stopped responding – I bought this for $15 and in the time this product worked it was a really handy device. It played music from my iPod, the radio, and any other aux device. Anything playing through the aux port, however, had really poor audio quality, but the music from my iPod played well. Setting the time is really easy if you have an iPod with the 32pin… Read more

connector. Just dock it and turn on the radio and it's all set!

Unfortunately, a couple years later after purchase almost all of the buttons no longer work.

We regret buying this – This clock radio is so bad I almost don't know where to start. When the instructions tell you the unit needs to be off to set the thing, you know something's wrong. Anyway, the 12/24 setting display will rarely appear and when it does, it's infrequent. So it's hard to set. The alarm goes off at random times despite being set correctly. And the… Read more

cord detaches from the unit too easily so it requires resets all the time. For such a simple piece of electronic equipment, this thing is way too frustrating which should not be. It's a shame b/c the TDK brand used to have such a good reputation. We've donated ours.

Unreliable – This alarm clock has let me down a number of times. The buttons are unresponsive and need to be pressed really hard repeatedly to get them to work which makes setting the time difficult, when you set the time you have to set the date too and if you take too long you have to start over from the beginning, which is infuriating. When the power goes… Read more

out the clock loses the time/date AND loses the radio tuning so you have to remember to retune the radio everytime the power goes out or the alarm won't go off. The power cable doesn't fit the socket well so if you bump the clock it can lose power and you will have to reset everything again. If the power goes out while you're sleeping you will be late for work. I haven't used the ipod dock so I can't comment on that. shows date, good screen layout, gets radio signal ok, good alarm options, remembers alarm settings if it loses power. buttons barely work, setting time/date is stressful, shoddy power connection, it's useless if the power dips overnight.

Not very good – I cannot set the current time or date or anything. The manual says press tbe set button until the hour stats flashing but the only thing that happens is that it goes to the alarm I've just set. If I can't set the current time there's obviously no point in having it. I'll be taking it back to the shop.

Frustrating – I'm not a fan of this clock radio. It is ridiculously frustrating to set the time and date, and reverts back to factory setting if you're not fast enough to accept the changed time/date. Such poor design and functionality. The fold-up dock broke within a month of owning the clock - it just jammed itself closed, and I had to pry it loose with a… Read more

sharp implement, but now is inoperable. Not that I could use the dock without taking my iPhone out of its protective case first (a massive job in itself as I have a military grade case).

Oh, and yes, it loses time weekly.

This clock radio has been nothing but frustrating. I'm donating it to the op shop and buying a new one.

A clock that can't keep the correct time – this clock radio has an annoying alarm where the volume level can't be set low, so you get a rude awakening. Worst of all, for a clock it can't keep time and my unit gains approx 1 minute per week, so every few weeks you have to adjust the time. Apart from these major flaws, it is a slick design. I just wished it worked like every other clock… Read more

radio I have ever owned. Compact, resonably easy to use, big snooze button alarm volume can't be set properly and the clock time nees constant adjustment

People love to complain :) – Took it home set it up relatively quickly and didn't even need the instructions...I read them afterwards :) Personally I love it, I have a big expensive hifi alarm clock/dock but the size of the thing right next to my head irks me. I don't need 450 thousand watts to wake me up. That's what my surround sound is for. Aesthetic, small unit that… Read more

produces great sound quality for its size, perfect for a traveller or someone who likes to put other things on thier bedside table besides a half tonne alarm clock :) Great aesthetics and sound in a small package Its the 21st century why do we still need long antennae cords :/

Innacurate! Clock loses 1 minute per week – For an alarm clock, you should expect the time to be accurate, but this clock loses 60 seconds every week. What makes this even worse is the inability to adjust the clock once it is set without turning the unit off and back on with an iPhone/iPad docked. I will be returning my unit to JB Hi-fi today. Consider this review if you don't like… Read more

being late to work. Good sound for a small speaker. Clock loses time. Backlit screen glows orange all night. Difficult to set alarm and radio station presets. Difficult to dock iPhone.

Does the job but don't get too excited! – I have to agree with the other review! This alarm clock dock is quite annoying to setup initially. Regardless of if your following the step by step instructions. For example when setting the time, date, day etc if you don't press the accept button quick enough then it reverts back to square one. So if you've set the time, set the date but leave it… Read more

flashing for even 4 seconds then it won't give you time to set the next step. It will just reset itself to factory settings. Placing your phone onto the dock at night when the lights are off is also a tedious task. And yes I'm actually sitting up when I'm trying to dock the phone in case you were thinking that I had my face pressed into the pillow whilst trying. On the upside....the speaker is decent and more than loud enough for an alarm clock. Dock is quite compact to for those of you with limited bedside table space. Guess I shouldn't complain to much as it only cost me $39. Quite cheap for a well known brand name in the iPod/iPhone dock catagory these days. Compact and decent speaker. Initial setup tedious and sometimes difficult to dock your phone.
