Reviewed products on line in sale added a product to my order it placed a second order which then was duplicated took money for all three when I received confirmation they said it was too late to cancelled as their system had already taken all 3 amounts. Spent over 2 hours contacting them online and by telephone they won’t budge! Now they are only… Read more

sending me out part of my order? I have paid 3 times contacted my credit card company who will be investigating and if my refunds donot come through they will charge them for falsely taking the money. Please be aware of this ! Also the shops do not always have the same offers on!

Whilst I love their products, I would recommend not ordering products online. My first order took longer to arrive than an order placed at the same time from the Netherlands! Second order experience was so bad, I vow never to shop at the Body Shop again. My order was to be shipped, I bought extra to get the free shipping, entered my address etc… Read more

and received an email informing me my order was ready to be shipped. This however, was followed by an email telling me my items were ready to collect from a store. I emailed them back and informed them of their error but I was told it couldn’t be changed. A big company like The Body Shop was unable to rectify their mistake and could only offer me a refund. I went online and reached out to a customer service representative. Although they were very sweet, she too said that they were unable to rectify their error and could only offer a refund. I gave in, accepted the reimbursement which was done very quickly but the experience has completely put me off shopping with them again. There are plenty of competitors with similar products and far better customer service out there to choose from.

This really sucks how the products have gone down hill. I can't find anything that doesn't smell artificial and cheap. I used to love body shops products but their obvious cost cuts on quality have ruined them.

I injured my hand while opening a package due to improper packaging—the sleepy balm cream had broken inside. It's now been over three weeks since I first reported this issue, and I'm still waiting for a refund. I've been told it's "under investigation" after another phone call today. Glass shattered throughout my bedsheets and carpet. I provided… Read more

the photos to them immediately. I lodged the details of what happened that day. I then advised staff at Macquarie Shopping Centre shortly after. Only to be told there was nothing that could be done in store and il need to wait 7-10 days for a reply as apparently they are very busy. So am I! So id just like my $49 refunded!

The whole process has been completely unacceptable. For a company that claims to pride itself on helping others, they lack of resolution and accountability is extremely disappointing. A straightforward refund shouldn't require endless delays and excuses.

Good bye body shop – I am so disappointed in the change of ingredients in the hemp range, particularly with the lip balm, doesn't work as well doesn't last as long. Lost a long time customer. I'm going to make my own from now on, In this economy you are charging the same for an inferior product under the guise of animal conservation nonsense

Price have increased too much – I used to like The Body Shop, even if the prices weren't cheap. It was 18AUD for a big tube of hand moisturiser. But last year they increased it to 24AUD. This is a 33% massive increase, and my salary didn't receive a 33% increase, so I had to stop buying it.

2 years 7 months old product – Check the batch codes. I purchased items online and 6 items of them are 2 and half years old. The online chat person said just go to the shop and exchange them there. Sounds not easy and hassling. I will go to the shop to change them but I won't buy anything again never. Worried I will get old products again.

Great products and staff, minus a point for prices and over uses of fragrances, overall great store to buy last minute gifts. Well organised store and good range of products, satisfied with products, but not the price out tof my wallet.

Absolutely amazing service, products, range – I got the "Nourish & Flourish British Rose Ultimate Gift" for myself, and I couldn't be happy. Both with the product and the customer service. I wasn't sure if I was going to purchase so I left it and came back, the lovely ladies working offered to leave it behind the counter for me because it was the last one. I have been using the Maca Root & Aloe shaving cream since the mid eighties and for the last 20 years for a complete head shave. The product today is definitely a poor cousin to what it used to be and is no better that a poor quality soap, as I now have to heavily immerse the brush into the 200ml container three times to lather and cover my face… Read more

and head before shaving (the closer to the bottom, the worse it gets). I discussed this with several mates that I introduced to the product many years ago and they are of the same opinion. Unfortunately, as I always bought several containers, I still have one jar left and after that is finished, we all will be moving on to something better.

The products always smell amazing, but they tend to feel a little sticky and low quality. It’s pretty easy to find what you need and it’s organised. Quality: 4/10 Scent: 9/10 Looks: 8/10

I genuinely need to know: why do companies insist on changing a formula that already works? I’ve been using The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Spray for years, and the original version was PERFECT. It left your feet feeling icy-cool, refreshed, and revived especially in summer. And the scent? Absolutely divine. Fresh peppermint heaven. Now?… Read more

What happened?!

It smells like someone raided a kitchen spice rack. Herbs and random “ spices” were not what my feet asked for. And the cooling effect? Practically nonexistent. It’s no longer refreshing or invigorating it’s just… confusing.

I honestly want to picture the meeting where this was approved. Did everyone sit around the table, spray it, and say, “Yes! This is better!”? Did no one test it against the original? Because if they had, they would have known: it’s a downgrade. A big one.

Change the packaging. Make it neon pink. Make it glow in the dark. I don’t care. But please do NOT mess with a formula that already works.

The original was cooling, fresh, and uplifting. This new version is none of those things. Bring back the old formula. My feet (and nose) are begging you.

They send the package with the body shop tape all over it so if it's a present your partner will know exactly where you got their present from. The caramel body wash is soooo strong and overwhelming we can't use it. The other soaps smell repulsive and we also can't use them except for strawberry which seems diluted these days.

I used Body Shop products for just over 25 years. They ere a little pricey (for the 90s) but totally worth it. The lip gloss could still be tasted on my lips hours later by my boyfriend. I would have a winter scent ( white musk) and a summer scent. Oceana, vanilla, cherry blossom, neroli, coconut... each few years I would change my summer scent.… Read more

Normally due to it being discontinued. The coconut soap had rough fibres which my fiance and I loved. When that changed we swapped to the coconut body scrub. Oh how that left your skin silky smooth for 2 while days. But I was amazed how I could use the shower gel, the lotion and the perfume in the morning and it would still smell strong that evening. The quality was legendary. It is so sad to see their products now either too greasy, no longevity of scent, no feeling soft for days or just not even a nice scent. No wonder the company isn't doing well. Waiting for Bath & Body Works to come to Perth so I can see how their products are.

Terrible and dangerous products. Severe allergic reaction that lasted weeks from simply using the Weiss jelly mist and Yoghurt Yuzu water hand gel. The extreme hives and swelling of face, neck, wrists was unbearable. Will never buy any products from them again!! They were not concerned when i showed what it had done to me and just said sorry but we can give you a refund.

Body shop is a hit or miss really. Some products are good (but they used to be a LOT better a long time ago) and others are just a waste of money hit - shea hand cream - got my hands on an older one and it was much stronger than the most recent purchase so they're reducing the strength of the perfume - gah now I can't find this older tube. A… Read more

complete miss is - perfumed oil I purchased white musk Hello? Where is the scent? You rub it on and it has a scent for less time than you walk to the fridge for a drink of water. The glass bottle's nice with an embossed body shop symbol so I will be recycling that with something else to put into it. I'm only going to be purchasing the shea scented products from now on because the scent is HEAVENLY but as for the rest... plus one can't get by the history of the founder which is highly documented.

This review is not related to any product purchase. Last year, we worked on an IT project for The Body Shop through one of their vendors. receive a proper response or resolution. It’s extremely disappointing and frustrating to be treated this way after putting in hard work to deliver their project successfully. We trusted the process and expected fair treatment, but instead, we’ve been ignored and left unpaid. I’m sharing this experience here in the hope that it helps others stay cautious. No one should have to go through this kind of situation, especially when they’ve fulfilled their responsibilities. We still believe in fairness and accountability, and we hope someone from their team will take this seriously and resolve the matter.

I have been purchasing The Body Shop products for nearly 40 years now, as I found them to be the best products for my skin. I recently picked up The Body Shop's mango butter, hoping for a delightful, nostalgic experience reminiscent of the original formula I loved. Unfortunately, I was beyond disappointed. First off, the scent is a far cry from the lush, tropical mango fragrance I remember. Instead of the sweet, juicy aroma I anticipated, I was met with a strange,… Read more

citrusy scent that comes across as oddly rancid. It’s as if they took a beloved classic and replaced it with an off-brand version that doesn't even closely resemble mango.

Texturally, the new formula leaves much to be desired. Instead of sinking into the skin and providing a nourishing feel, it creates a weird film on my skin that’s both sticky and uncomfortable.

To add to my disappointment, I've noticed that the atmosphere in-store has changed drastically. The once vibrant and colorful packaging that made shopping a pleasure has been replaced with a bland, uniform look. Everything appears the same, making it considerably harder to find specific products. It all feels so monotonous and lacks the character that The Body Shop used to embody.

I can't help but feel nostalgic for the 90s when The Body Shop had its own unique charm and stellar products. It’s disheartening to see a brand I once adored now feel so generic and uninspired. I won’t be purchasing this mango butter again, and I sincerely hope they reconsider these recent changes. Bring back the old Body Shop!

Down and Out in The Body Shop – I have been a loyal TBS customer since 1990. Loved so many products throughout the 90s and even early 2000s. However, once it was sold to L'Oreal and then Natura and the Aurelias, and the list goes on and on, the products have undergone radical changes. Under Natura, the aim was to make everything Vegan. There were some great products, such as the… Read more

Passionfruit range and Raspberry range, both of which were limited editions. The relaunch of the packaging to mirror the original logo and style was promising. Now, I am done. It has become too expensive and the growth and development of the ranges has hit a wall. On top of that they have virtually discontinued the Oils Of Life range which was incredible for my older skin. The 2024 Christmas offering was the weakest I have ever seen, with them even rolling out products from the past, like Yuzu and Pears and Share, which clearly was not a great seller in past Christmases and been in storage. On top of that customer service has taken a hit. There are the occasional good staff, but on the whole, they are disinterested and bored and sometimes, downright rude. I know they are in the throws of a relaunch with new owners and leaders, but I think it is a sinking ship. Anita Roddick had such a great brand but she sold out to L'Oreal and proved that she was only it for the money in the end and the philosophy was marketing hype. It is on a never-ending slippery slope to irrelevance and oblivion. What a shame!
