Thank you Sogand for your wonderful service. Finally, a 1 stop complete pool tile company with a big showroom displaying just about every pool tile and paving brand and style available in Australia. My experience from the moment I walked in through to placing my order was as much a professional experience I could have hoped for thanks to the attentive and knowledgeable guidance I received from Sogand who couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. Totally recommend.

Poor QA – Just a heads up on stone tiles we recently purchased from the Pool Tile Company in Brisbane. Everything went well with 2 pallets of the stone tiles being delivered in readiness for our tiler to commence coping work on our pool. The problem however became apparent once the tiles were ready to be installed. A “significant” variation was discovered in the thickness of the stone tiles. For clarity we found a large portion of the tiles were in fact 25mm thick, not 30mm thick as we had ordered. This I calculate to be a 16% variation. With the difficulty in availability of tilers, glass fence installers etc, we decided to proceed anyway. So the tiles are now installed. I did contact [Name Removed] at the Pool Tile Company to let him know of this variation. In the discussion, he indicated that while PTC do incorporate some QA into their acceptance procedures, a large portion of stock coming in does not undergo QA. That would appear to be the case with our order. He clarified that according to their T’s and C’s, the QA on any order sits squarely with the customer and reconfirmed that “All goods must be inspected and approved prior to installation as claims cannot be accepted or liability admitted once tiles are laid” and that “All Natural Stone Coping and Pavers/Tiles can have size, colour, shade and texture variations”. So be careful people, my advice to those looking to buy from the PTC, be prepared to open up the pallet once delivered and carefully measure all of the individual tiles to ensure they meet the specs of the stock that you ordered. Considering there’s a high chance that the PTC have not managed any QA on your purchase, I suggest this is imperative to avoid disappointment. [Name Removed] did share that if this had been done by us and the variation uncovered earlier, PTC may have replaced or refunded our order. I suppose we trust that the companies that we deal will double check what they buy from their wholesale suppliers, unfortunately this does not seem to be the case, and that this QA responsibility resides solely with the customer. Disappointing reality I guess..
