The Whisky Exchange

Terrible experience with this company and I would never use them again nor recommend them. Ordered a bottle of whiskey and on arrival got blindsided by the import duty and additional DHL Courier charges. They have changed their website now and you get a warning about this but I was fobbed off by the staff from both this company and their selected courier.

The charges were more than the cost of the whiskey and on challenging repeatedly, profit out of this transaction was Removed by the courier.

Got absolutely no help from this company. Basically said it was my problem and if I returned it the courier costs would wipe out the cost of the products and there would be no refund. Despite the fact the courier charges to deliver were less than the product therefore there should’ve been a refund.

They were not interested in helping negotiate with the courier service at All who are clearly price gouging. Eventually they waived their additional fees and I paid just the import duties.

At least they now make it prominent when you go to order a product.

They could’ve done a better job on my behalf with their own courier.

Once they’ve got your money, they are not interested in anything else. Reality is despite their waiver that they aren’t responsible for import duties in this era it’s easy to calculate those and provide an approximate estimate so consumers know what they are up for before forking out the money. Buy locally and never use these guys.
