Dont buy from the Wine Collective. You will get regular spam marketing calls forever after. Doesnt matter how many times you tell them to stop calling you. If you block their phone number they just use another number.

The Wine Collective Warning: do not buy from this company! 6 months ago I ordered a mystery pack of 6 different wines from The Wine Collective, apparently reduced from nearly $800 to $225. So far we've drunk 3 bottles, none of which has been remarkable or outstanding in any way. We opened the 1st bottle, a Hewitson Barossa Cask 66 Shiraz wine from 2022 with a retail price of $450.99 (!), on Christmas Day 2024. I've read several reviews of this wine, all of which contain words like Outstanding, Amazing, Wonderful, etc. The wine we drank was none of these, it was dull and had littIe flavour - I wouldn't have paid more than $10 for it. Upon reflection, I strongly doubt it was the wine its label said it was. I decided to chalk this up to experience, and not purchase any more wine from the company. As I hadn't taken steps to discontinue receiving their emails, I received another email from them last week, and one of the wines interested me - I didn't initially notice who the email was from, until I visited their site. At that point I decided to let the company know my opinion of their so-called $450 bottle, so I emailed them - my strongest statement being that I was very disappointed with the wine, and also hadn't thought much of the 2 other $90 wines I had tried. Nowhere in my email did I seek a return or refund. Imagine my surprise then to receive a response in which they wrote "As part of our policy, mystery cases...don"t fall under our Taste Guarantee, as they're designed to be a surprise selection and are not eligible for return or refund". They also wrote that since I had taken 6 months since placing the order to raise any concerns, too long a period of time had passed. But they would be happy to credit me with "some loyalty points" to my account. If you were to visit their site, you would soon realize how many of their offers are mystery ones. As an example, I opened their Premium Wine link, which contains 113 wines presented in several pages of 24 wines per page. The 1st page of 24 wines contains 7 mystery wines (29%) - by their rules, they are not liable in any way for those wines: neither quality, nor accuracy of description. I'm thinking of lodging a complaint with Consumer Affairs Victoria.

Large range but very few of the prices are competitive – Large range but very few of the prices are competitive. They also send a lot of very average wine offers
